Maybe this is the start of the end of his tenure. You won't meet a bigger blue than Bill and I genuinely fear that we could end up with an FSG or Shinawatra type owner, but if we can't build a new stadium our days at the very top are numbered and it's clear that Bill can't deliver..

Whats the issue with FSG? You should be over the moon if someone like that bought you

Sorry mate, I meant Hicks and Gillett, too much whisky in my water. Fantastic piece about Goodison (and everton) by Oliver Kay in the Times, quite sad really.

So the Sunday papers are reporting Stones as slapped in a transfer request, I wondered how
long it would take for the greed to take over.

I don't believe it, there are just as many stories saying that he hasn't/won't. Unless we get a crazy offer he will still be with us until next summer, when he will probably go to United.

How come City are playing in their home kit colours?

Sterling has arms which flap around when he runs, it's a bit of a mincer's run.

Because we're all one big happy family up here! I think it's because sections of our support think he represents all that is rotten in the modern era of the game. Until we get a rich Oligarch or Shiekh of our own we will carry on behaving in this fashion.

Surely its more to do with the fact he played for us ? whether he chose to leave us or not he has still played for Liverpool

I expect he'll get booed at every ground he goes to this season. He's the new player to hate.

I believe he's the one in the orange:

We played ok yesterday, but our attack lacked bite and belief. However, pretty good. A 6th place team in the league.

I think it's critical that we hang onto Stones, but we look balanced despite the problems at left back. If Baines was fit then I think it would've been a more even contest, would like to think that we will start to see Delefou getting more game time soon.

I think you're right Hilly but for me this is pretty much the final straw, I really can't get too excited about footy anymore, unless you have a filthy rich owner there's no point in trying to build because someone will keep coming along to knock it down. I will always love my team but my days of going to the game are on the wane, there's little excitement outside the top 4.

30mil fee. Barnsley get 15%, or 4.5mil. EFC owe Chelsea 15mil for Lukaku. So from 30mil, EFC would get 10.5mil.

Don't know how true that is??
