Think we are at a crossroads as a club. If stones leaves now the whole club and manager will be discredited. It will also send out a message of no ambition or desire to keep our best players.

We should be building a team around Stones, Barkley and Lukaku.
It's not about ambition, it's what's called being skint. We never get a rich buyer as long as we have no plans to move away from the old lady. We are in a deep rut, and will always have to sell to survive.
Finishing bottom of the premier league this year gets you £60m. That's a minimum coming in at end of season. I would contest the argument we are skint on that basis alone.

What's happened to Lukaku's first touch? he just doesn't seem able to kill a ball to lay it off or have a go on goal. Grow you hair back man! Was he just out to impress Chelsea for that first season?

That game was there for the taking last night, even with a Tim Cahill-alike up front we'd have come closer to breaking the deadlock.

And it begs the question, if Stones is worth 40m WTFH is Coleman worth?

Nice to hear Cleverley's injury is not as bad as we feared.

Lukaku is a real enigma, he was brilliant against Saints, good against City but awful yesterday. My big concern is Barry, he was spurs best player yesterday having almost gifted them twice within the space of 5 minutes, surely Martinez can see it. I don't know where we are headed at the moment, 3 or 4 decent signings needed and with a few bad injuries already I'm getting worried.

Agreed! I was questioning the substitutions yesterday Barry should have been replaced by Besic IMO

I agree with your "enigma" comment blue. We've had too many enigma's over the years thoughtongue out

What was painful yesterday was not only his inability to get on the ball but his attitude. I really felt he was going to be another powerhouse like Drogba or a Victor with 5 times more skill and pace, he was bullied off the ball more than once yesterday by smaller guys.

The difference in tempo when Naismith was introduced mainly caused by his sheer aggression and determination was plain to see.

Darron Gibson Pissed out of his head in his Nissan Skyline GT-R Nismo, mounted pavement hitting three people and fleeing, only to hit a petrol pump.

12-month community order 20 month driving ban. Would the average man on the street would get away so lighlty?

He pleaded guilty and is one step away from a custodial sentence, I don't think he has received preferential treatment but if you've some examples of precedent to support your assertion I'd be interested.

Maybe the sentence is appropriate, I don't know. But I asked the question, rather than made an assertion.

Only assertion you can make is that the bloke's a - you have to be to do something like that. Does seem a bit lenient though, all those fines are pocket money to him no doubt.

Pardon me, I thought the assertion was implicit in your question. I believe there are legal forums out there that would probably provide you with a better idea of the knowledge you seek.

Lennon wants to play for us and I think Coleman will benefit with him in front. Would still have liked to see us get a creative ball player, but some good additions this window, I like Delefou and Cleverly has looked good, though I hear he's out until November.

Evertons average spend on transfers over the years £1.9m. Where is all the money? No new ground, average squad from a cost point of view, average wages.

Another st window as well. I'm staggered we have paid £3m for a player not wanted by his club and he's average. At best.

I am pleased about stones though just wish we had a bit more ambition and to push on.

Yarmalenko was one that got away, as I think he's got a bit of something about him.

There are some major issues at EFC, until we find an honest billionaire we will always be picking up the scraps. 'Watchedtoffee' is getting quite a lot of attention on Twitter at the moment, whoever he/she is they are on a mission to discredit Kenwright and the board. I don't personally believe we were ever in for Yarmalenko and I seriously cannot understand why we paid so much for Mori, I fear that he will bomb in the premiership.
