It's surprising that more PL clubs aren't getting more investors looking to invest. You'd think one or two of the Birmingham clubs would attract some money too.

And you see 50000 glum Newcastle supporters at St James for every home game, surely someone better than Ashley could turn them around...?

I always admired Howard, he had a great way of conducting himself, a real professional and always seemed a very decent chap.

A sad loss.

As a teenager in the mid-80s, I had the pleasure of following Everton all over the country and watching one of the best clubs sides play some great football. Who knows what could have been achieved had the team and manager stuck together for longer but one thing is for certain and that's that his achievement in the 84-87 seasons will probably never be matched at Goodison.

They scored three times, you didn't score (much to my annoyance, as I wanted you to stuff them). 3-0.

HTH

All I know is 2 mistakes again cost us goals. If ever there is a prize for a teams mistakes = goals we will win hands down. We even had the defence back as it should be, they must have forgotten each other

I have read that he has advanced pancreatic cancer, but stress that it's only forum/internet stuff, but it is strange that he hasn't made (to my knowledge) any public comment about Howard Kendall, most out of character and I guess that is what is fuelling the rumours. Anyone know if he was at Howard's funeral today?

Edited to say that I now realise the funeral is next Thursday, apologies. I'd also like to say that though I have been a critic of Bill (Kings Dock, Samuel and Kirkby), if he is ill I wish him well, he is a proper blue.

So Rom off to PSG according to the press and his agent for 40M. Nice profit in a year. I think Rom will jump at the chance so as to get CL.
