Stones is off Hilly whether we like it or not, but to be fair to him he has played an awful lot of football and time on the bench will help him to reflect and hopefully improve him. I think the one player we have to hold onto is Barkley, we can build around him, just wish some of our 'fans' would get off his back.

Great result today, I can't wait to see the highlights, and for once all the other resukts have gone our way and we move up the table....
Positive week. Hopefully we can build on it now and kick on. Jury still out on Robles for me but he is performing well and has the shirt now.

How do we all feel about our impending sale? I for one have my doubts, but given Bill's health can't see any other solution.

How ill is he? Wogan ill? Hope not.

As much as I love him I just cant see the investment needed to keep us afloat in future. The key looks increasingly like a new stadium is needed. If a new investor can do that so be it.

Couldnt bare it if we turned into the Mancs or the ste moaning about their American owners every 10 mins. Waa waa waah. This however would be ok if we are up challenging for a european place. Risk is thay we would end up like Fulham or Villa...

Concerned for stuff like Everton in the Community project as I dont think an American venture capitalists will give two sts about it if it costs the club money. They do some really positive work and it would be a travesty if that closes.

Onwards and upwards.

It's well documented that Bill has been unwell for some time, he doesn't go to as many games and I believe he was absent at the recent AGM, given his relationship with the club I personally think his health is driving the deal.

I don't know much about dem Yanks and the Villa situation fills me with dread, but I would imagine that anyone looking to make money out of this will have to invest in a new stadium or bring Goodison up to date, while also improving the squad otherwise what is the point? Moores is apparently an entrepreneur and philanthropist, though I'm pretty sure I would be if I was sitting on $500m.

I did hear something about that the investors elect were looking into rebuilding were we are and if its a viable prospect. Quite agree on the American don't give a st about the club thing the same as what is happening at the Villa, now that frightens me

You sound exactly like my Everton supporting cohort at work - he is in dismay at the whole situation.

35 attempts on goal, is that not the players fault we coudnt score, you can blame Martinez all day but them strikers, on there huge salaries and big egos, are to blame ,subjective of course it may well be Martinez fault that Lukaka coudnt score in a brothel at the mo, 50 mil,and I want to play in the Champions league next season, you cant score against WBA for fk sake.

I can't get my head around this season, no idea what to expect from Everton. Sure WBA parked the bus and you'd expect that, but RM didn't really change anything in terms of formation when it was crying out for us to really have a go, wasn't like they offered any threat!

Losing faith

Surely 35 attempts is the definition of having a go? It was the players that didn't get the ball in the net.

We fell to another cross into the box, the number of goals we concede like this is unacceptable. Our defenders lose their markers all the time.

I know we battered them, but he didn't change the formation, they coped though the woodwork helped. Bringing on Kone, who seems incapable of shooting is questionable under the circumstances when he'd got other options on the bench.
