Do you remember that time in the last 20 years when Everton won the.... oh yeah they have won fk all. Not a huge club these days.

In what way are Everton a better prospect at the moment than Southampton? A team who finished bottom half, or a team who finished 6th and only the Champions have performed better since Christmas?

Man Utd fans happiest moment ever was when Liverpool lost the 2016 Europa final, rather than winning the 20th league title or winning the CL? Utter BS!

(Spurs fans I can understand hehe)

So who is the preferred appointment? For me it has to be Pellegrini, he has proved that he can manage aspiring teams like Malaga and Valencia and take them to new heights and he's also proved he can handle the pressure at Real and Citeh. I think he was treated very badly this season but conducted himself with dignity and seemed to keep his staff on side, no easy task under the circumstances.

I fully expect an appointment this week.

I agree I think he has conducted himself brilliantly and I for one would have him in a heartbeat.

Pellegrini probably. De Boer leaving seems to have been a coincidence.

Lol. Jumped up view of my club. Yes I'd agree I dont think you'll find many who don't.

A bitter blue. Yes I agree with that too. One of the bitterest.

beer

Pellegrini would be great for you.

Problem is Everton are an under-performing unknown - wealthy new owner but how much money will be thrown at the acquisition budget/wage bill? Some good players there but bit of a catch 22, might have to pay big wages to get the manager/players who will take the risk, but you run the risk of attracting wage mercenaries.

Will be interesting to see how it all plays out but getting a respected manager in is key. Has Farhad Moshiri committed to anything solid yet?

I would call 49% pretty solid with controlling interest shortly

Looking like an appointment by the end of this week, I hope my source is on the money because I don't think we can let this drag on for too long. I would be happy with any one of our top targets, less convinced by FDB and don't want Moyes, never go back.

Where is T66ORA when you need him?

Least it's not going to be Rafa!

See Kings Dock v2 could now be an option for a stadium option. Probably not going to happen like the many other proposals, but interesting. Right on the Mersey. Proper scouce!

It would be fantastic if we could relocate to the waterfront, but this is Everton so don't hold your breath!

On the manager front all gone a bit quiet, I fully expected an announcement this week but now looks unlikely, for me the delay increases the likelihood of the candidate currently being in a job, as if it was Pellegrini or Moyes then you'd assume they would be signed by now.

I hope it's not Koeman, Saints get raped and pillaged every close season and it doesn't sit well with me.

....and I really hope it isn't Giggs.

Pellegrini is realistic I think but they should have a go for Eddie Howe.

It's your friends over the park who normally come for our staff, and they've got their new manager already luckily.

It won't be Koeman, he'll see his contract out. Whether he signs a one or two year extension with us now depends on how much he's being given to spend, but he won't go anywhere until 2017 at least.

You could do much worse than Pellegrini IMO.

I think you'd find Pellegrini to be another Martinez. A nice guy, but not good defensively.

I realy do not see the fascination behind Pelligrini - he was average with what is by far the best squad in the prem at City -

Tactics are super poor too, constantly got found out

Years more of pain if you put him in charge

Don't know much Marcus, but this now fits in with what I was told about FDB just after he resigned from Ajax. He wants all of his back room staff in but Bill wants to keep Unsworth, Sheedy and Duncan. But other reports suggest we have not even spoken to him? Pellegrini is well down the pecking order, until Koeman commits to Southampton I still think he will be 1st choice now.
RK has done a great job at Southampton, but with respect to them and there fans, I have family support them, The Everton fans has far more expectations, even though we have won nothing for 20 years and I think he is better off cutting his teeth at Saint Marys for a while longer than crack under the pressure of the new regime,
and the potential transfer budget.

RK has always said he will honour his current contract so will not go till the end of next season.
Why would he take a step back anyway ?
Another "big club" who think they are better than anyone else but in reality are a mid-table club like an awful lot of other clubs.
