Seems he fancies Stoke as a better place to be than Everton

An alternative view is that there was never any substance to it, his agent pushed the story the day before he agreed a new deal. I think there's a pretty good chance we won't sign every name we have been linked with, presumably that's because we are less attractive than Stoke.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-...

Looks like the Aston Villa lad Idrissa Gueye is due a medical on Monday.
I live in the Midlands Tony and it looks like it's done, many Villa mates (proper fans) reckon he's ok, good engine and breaks up play but not much else, but it's hard to judge any Villa player on last season's showing. I reckon he will be a good squad player, but we do need some quality and I hope that RK has matters in hand.Blue62 said:

Don`t think he offers anything we don`t already have, Besic Jimmy Mac Barry, or even Ryan Ledson, Bit concerning if we have gone from Witsel, and Carvalho to this lad. So I`m not convinced they have mate.Lots of players linked and nearly all not on the radar.
I know we are still trying to convince a few to get on board.
Kasper Schmeichels name keeps being mentioned, but don't be surprised if he goes with the 2 we have now.
We need to drop the loan fee if we want to get rid of Niasse for the season or we will be stuck with him. No body seems to know the story behind the signing.
What will ps off most Evertonians is we start spending after we sell Stones, there are a few out there who are not convinced by the new "regime"
The jury are still very much out.
That's not the brightest news to wake up to, but I can understand the growing unease. I think we have a decent manager and Walsh seems like a genuinely nice, grounded person, which is refreshing. I actually think we have a decent squad that underperformed badly last season but losing Lukaku (if it happens) will be a big blow and I'd like to see us sort that situation out soon.
Prices are moving on. Think about the number of top PL clubs with new managers and new money owners, and the massive new TV money deals.
Add at least 35% to what you thought was a high price from a big club with a new manager and perhaps a disappointing performance over the last two seasons.
It's madness but it's also the new reality.
