According to BBC Sport Citeh have approached Everton re Stones. I suppose it's a just matter of sorting the money and he will be gone. I wonder if they still want to use Bony in the mix.

An alternative view is that there was never any substance to it, his agent pushed the story the day before he agreed a new deal. I think there's a pretty good chance we won't sign every name we have been linked with, presumably that's because we are less attractive than Stoke.

Looks like the Aston Villa lad Idrissa Gueye is due a medical on Monday.

I live in the Midlands Tony and it looks like it's done, many Villa mates (proper fans) reckon he's ok, good engine and breaks up play but not much else, but it's hard to judge any Villa player on last season's showing. I reckon he will be a good squad player, but we do need some quality and I hope that RK has matters in hand.

Seen him a couple of times last season, bit indifferent if you ask me. Having better players round him he could be OK

Don`t think he offers anything we don`t already have, Besic Jimmy Mac Barry, or even Ryan Ledson, Bit concerning if we have gone from Witsel, and Carvalho to this lad. So I`m not convinced they have mate.
Lots of players linked and nearly all not on the radar.
I know we are still trying to convince a few to get on board.
Kasper Schmeichels name keeps being mentioned, but don't be surprised if he goes with the 2 we have now.
We need to drop the loan fee if we want to get rid of Niasse for the season or we will be stuck with him. No body seems to know the story behind the signing.
What will ps off most Evertonians is we start spending after we sell Stones, there are a few out there who are not convinced by the new "regime"
The jury are still very much out.

That's not the brightest news to wake up to, but I can understand the growing unease. I think we have a decent manager and Walsh seems like a genuinely nice, grounded person, which is refreshing. I actually think we have a decent squad that underperformed badly last season but losing Lukaku (if it happens) will be a big blow and I'd like to see us sort that situation out soon.

It's gone very quiet on the Rom situation a case of his agent trying to find the highest bidder so the bigger cut he gets.

The Mail on Sunday as Chelski preparing a 60m bid for Lukaku, now I know football as gone mad. If they offer that sort of dough bring it on now.

I have heard we want £75m, bonkers! There are plenty of Blues who think we need to hang on to Rom and while I know 20-30 goal strikers do not fall out of the trees, I just don't think he is 'complete' enough to command that sort of fee, so if Milwall want him then it's fine by me.

Do you think the 73 m was a try on or a put off

Prices are moving on. Think about the number of top PL clubs with new managers and new money owners, and the massive new TV money deals.

Add at least 35% to what you thought was a high price from a big club with a new manager and perhaps a disappointing performance over the last two seasons.

It's madness but it's also the new reality.

This new money is certainly spurring these prices, my fear now is the gap in our football gets ever wider. I think it will not be long before there is a Euro Super league .

Best way for Liverpool to challenge for the PL title I guess....

It would be their best chance I suppose. There would be so much money involved the teams would not be able to say no, and the financial returns to the respective FAs it will be hard for them to say no.

Good , let them fk off & play each other every weekend if they think this is the way forward.

If my team ever done that , it would be the end for me.
