Will you still consider it awesome if they have to sell Lukaku and Barkley to pay for it?
I would hope that is not the case, although funding has still yet to be secured apparently? It would undermine the statement we are trying to make, so I seriously doubt that will happen unless the player wants to leave.

Looking briefly at the statement I doubt that selling one or both would make much of a dent in the build cost as it is likely to be well north of the stated £300m. But if you phrased your question to say 'what is more important to the future of EFC, two of the best young players in the league or a new stadium within a spit of the city centre?' I think you know what most sensible people would say.Sparkyhd said:

Awesome news! Who said we are a club without ambition?

So no I dont think we need to raise the money by selling players. Those days are behind us.
I'm working away fro home today. Been working from the bar since the announcement! So pleased.
I like Goodison, having visited twice with an Everton supporting work mate, but this is long overdue IMO. I've seen the idea compared to what West Ham have done but I think that's nonsense as this will be designed as a footy stadium from the get go, meaning no six billion yard gaps between the pitch and stands - although I doubt they will be able to recreate Goodisons rather personal surroundings
Best of luck Toffees, I can't wait to visit

I'm still convinced a certain major shareholder in a London club is seeding the ground in readiness to jump ship without his shares crashing - total speculation though.
Been thinking that myself digi he is never going to get a voice on that board so will BK sell the rest to himA shocking, reckless tackle that could've ended the career of one of the few prem players who actually strikes me as a normal, decent bloke. I have little interest in international football and the antics with McCarthy, who is not fit for his club but gets selected by O'Neill only to break down (for the umpteenth time) in training, meaning his come back for us is delayed even further, is just salt on the wounds after losing Seamus. A bad weekend.
