£70k being reported today, I'm just surprised we can afford that level of wages, wasn't that long ago we had a £40k a week wage cap.

70K is still a lot of money as you say 40k cap not so long ago. Bill must be spending the extra season ticket revenue and shirt sales profit. Anyway long may it continue.

Everton have just sold Irish centre back Shane Duffy to Championship side Blackburn Rovers for £1.5 million.

Can't say I'm surprised. He looked good when he was on loan with us last season but ultimately he was part of a defence that couldn't keep us up.
