30mil fee. Barnsley get 15%, or 4.5mil. EFC owe Chelsea 15mil for Lukaku. So from 30mil, EFC would get 10.5mil.
Don't know how true that is??
That's more than likely right . The ten mil will just about buy the South American bloke, that's a bit of debt cleared a new centre back to replace Stones. Carry on struggling. I spoke to my nephew tonight he is of the same frame of mind where just don't give a st anymoreDon't know how true that is??

I think you're right Hilly but for me this is pretty much the final straw, I really can't get too excited about footy anymore, unless you have a filthy rich owner there's no point in trying to build because someone will keep coming along to knock it down. I will always love my team but my days of going to the game are on the wane, there's little excitement outside the top 4.
I bet your tune would change if you got a filthy rich owner though!Kitchski said:

Still cant understand it. why on earth did the Arabs buy City? Rubbish club with no massive history.... now one of the most powerful in the world.
I hope he drops them one day.

I remember the day my mate, a City supporter, phoned me to tell me that their club was being sold. He said "we are now the richest club in the world"... didn't appreciate at the time the impact such a sale would have.

City have a rich history. There were many reasons to buy - Already had an excellent stadium, and the aniline site was perfect for future development, as well as being a well supported outfit in an excellent city which is receptive towards investment*. That, and having a previous owner who was 'otherwise indisposed' at the time and you can see why it would have been so appealing. - More in comparison to London - See how little progress Chelsea have made with infrastructure.

Think we are at a crossroads as a club. If stones leaves now the whole club and manager will be discredited. It will also send out a message of no ambition or desire to keep our best players.
We should be building a team around Stones, Barkley and Lukaku.
It's not about ambition, it's what's called being skint. We never get a rich buyer as long as we have no plans to move away from the old lady. We are in a deep rut, and will always have to sell to survive. We should be building a team around Stones, Barkley and Lukaku.

I dont think it matters either way if a player wants to go you are better off getting rid - unfortunately he wont put 110% effort in every week if you have cost him a move to a team like chelsea and probably a pay rise of 3m a year..Hold your ground for the fee you want the invest wisely the money you get in
I think they are actually going to make a stand on this and fair play! £37m bid also rejected, great to see that agent/money/player power is not what dictates our club so much now
ETA I completely agree with Bob, the transfer window should be closed as soon as the season kicks off, utterly mad ruling!
