As a Saints fan I want to keep Ronald, but I also think that all clubs are "clubs of substance" given the TV deal.
True, but the price we all pay is that there's no honour in the game anymore. I hope you keep Koeman, he's got things going and should see it through for at least another season, you and he could actually win something and if he moved to Everton it would only be for the money. I would prefer us to go for someone who has won things and probably needs a new challenge, like Emery, or has won things and is out of a job, like Pellegrini. Blue62 said:

I agree with you Blue the money is all that matters now, no loyalty anymore. Pellegrini will do for me as he is a good coach and a gentleman It seems nailed on now, I feel sorry for Saints but that is football and I've no doubt they will lure a manager away from another club and so it goes on. That said, I wonder if Moyes will end up there and if so, just how long has this been going on, he pulled out the the Villa job 2 weeks ago?

The papers are saying £3.5M in Compo & £7M a year in wages
I'm hearing Saints are holding out for nearer £5m in compensation. That means Koeman would be costing Everton the thick end of £26m, before a ball has even been kicked.
It also means that Everton would have effectively repaid Southampton what it cost to employ Koeman over the past two years.
That's an awful lot of money for someone who, with the greatest respect, simply isn't a £6m or £7m a year manager.
