To be honest it doesn't bother the vast majority of Everton fans smile

Doesn't bother me either, hence my confusion of Hairy rooting for Utd.

Still, Spurs next, that should be a cracking game.

Top of the 2017 form table at the moment. Top. Of a table. With all the other PL clubs in it. Don't get to say that often.

Indeed it is. Proper bitter me and I'm not the only blue amused by this stat. Very quiet in here normally, but make a comment about our glorious neighbours and we get some comments...

I'm going to be optimistic and think the form we have now we can do spurs next.

The whole 'bitter' thing started after Heysel, when an Everton team with a realistic shot at winning the European Cup was denied the opportunity when English clubs were banned. Ultimately it led to the break up of that team, Kendall went to Spain, as did Lineker, Steven and Stevens went to Rangers and we lost our way. The only reds I know who refer to us as 'bitters' are the Norwegian and Cornish contingent, they have little appreciation of the context or the history and absolutely no idea of the impact on EFC. We are not bitter, but we have good reason to regret our misfortune.
