Thought Murphy had a good game as well as Bruno, Gordon seemed only 95%, Willock about 60%, Hall had a few shining moments when he came on. Isak just seemed out of touch, even when he got the ball he stumbled but often the pass never reached him (or him the pass). As above, Dubs beaten twice by his own defence but a few good saves.
Feel sorry for Eddie, short of players and players who who were brilliant last season not quite in the same mind frame this season. Add that to the press (who are just looking for headlines) questioning him, the morons who call themselves supporters baying for blood and no doubt the owners pressuring him. Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't jack! Who needs pressure like this.

You can't call for the managers head against the best side in the world who scored two goals from fairly heavy deflections. Bench consisting of 4 defenders and 3 midfielders one of which isn't match fit. We are where we are because of the players who were have at our disposal. Of the players we bought in the summer, none were fit. We've bought the spine of the team, but the rest are still the bargain buys from SD.

Season over really, as we all expected. Just glad it wasn't a total humiliation.

But there's quite a few nutters on FB etc who call themselves fans/supporters who have been calling just that.
I've no idea who I'd rather have than Eddie at the moment.

It's really, really easy to manage via hindsight.

I've deleted Twitter a few weeks ago purely because I thought it was bad for my health. The bad side of social media sadly outweighs the good side, so I'm better off not knowing what the knobs are typing on there. Ironic considering I'm on one of the earlier forms of social media, but it's easy to stay away from the toxic areas of PH and there is no algorithm on here to push me down a rabbit hole.

I avoid most of the FB stuff now. Too many cockwombles for my sanity.

I suspect they're suffering from getting much further than expected last season. And possibly having to prepare to release some key players due to FFP.

The sooner that gets sorted out with Man City, Chelsea etc the better. It's a farce. Either get decent, structured, open rules and penalties in place, or have a free for all.

Fans calling for Howe's head need their bumps read.

We have been very unlucky this season, started form Tonali and got worse and worse, you really could write a book about it all.
If people are asking for Eddie to go I am curious who they would choose to replace him.

While I'm not in the "Eddie Out!" camp, we've all seen enough football to not be surprised if it happened.

I do think he needs to address the Burn issue, especially as we're missing Joelinton, who provided excellent cover for him.

Roll on summer and next season.

Yes the Burn issue is very serious as the opposition now seem to all take advantage of the weakness. The midfield needs sorting out for when big Joe is not playing, probably needing another two midfielders.

Botman out for 6 to 9 months with an ACL injury.

Perhaps time to shift Burn inside and set up with Targett, Hall or Tino on the left (the latter if Trippier returns).

Does look like he’s been carrying that to me. Which we couldn’t do anything about due to ffp and lack of players/cover.

At what point do you point the finger at the league and say this is on you? Long term injury/career ending stuff due to their rules? Where is the duty of care to players at the very highest level given the physical requirements & number of games?

Botman looks crocked again
Well at least I got that correct

I firmly believe the medical and physio departments at the club are incompetent or out of their depth. I find it incredible they misdiagnosed his injury first time around. And why nlon earth was he allowed to play.

And Howe playing an injured Longstaff. Unsure what the Frick going on.

Certainly explains Botmans current form.

What a disaster this season has turned out to be, especially after last seasons rollercoaster.

Bloody typical of us.

I'm not sure you can blame the league because you're not allowed to spend any more money on players (unless you want a points deduction that is).

It's the League's fault that Howe chose to play an injured player confused

I think Eddie has probably played his first team choice players even though they are not fully fit as he very aware the second choice are not up to it.
The expectation because of last season and points disappearing has made him make certain decisions and take risks, unfortunately it has not worked as planned.

This injury might actually be good news. The season is written off anyway.

The alternate explanation was that Sven had to into a dog st player. Get him recovered and back up to scratch.
