Can't believe Stoke have signed Bojan from Barca, I'd have liked him here.
A fair bit of talk of that little Mexican from Man U. He'd do as well!
Still hopeful that we will get a recognised quality striker over the line.
However, don't think any of us expected such a productive window.

Would somebody please explain why we are not signing Lukaku?!
I know we're operating on a budget, but we need a striker, we only buy young with the potential to increase in value and who works with our 'tactics'...
Ummm, is that not Lukaku?
£18m is a little high, but he'll be worth double that in 2/3 seasons and he is proven in the prem.
It's bonkers that Everton will get him and we haven't even made an attempt....

Yeah, I've got to agree.
A lot of positives to be taken from that game, despite the result. The team looked a lot more aggressive and didn't fold after the first goal.
The new signings look very good; Cabella seems very similar to Ben Arfa, but more 'team' focused. Colback and Janmaat both worked very hard and covered some serious distance. I'm reserving judgement on Riveria for the moment; he was getting into some good positions but snatched at his chances. Perez looks lightning quick and very skillful, maybe he'll be in to first team sooner than expected.
Nice to see Colo back to his best, he made some great challenges and quality long passes. Wilo seems to be building on his good form from last season, long may it continue.
A win was never really on the cards yesterday, but I felt we deserved a draw. Man City looked very shaky at times, but they have some real quality finishers.
Losing 2-nil was not really a true reflection of the game.

Plenty of positives from yesterdays game.
I thought Colback was outstanding. Like Tiote, but with pace and brains.
Riviere I thought maybe had been sold a little short by the initial system as he got precious little support.
Cabella looks very promising.
Can't believe we are still paying Obertan.

Completely agree with the Obertan comment, I have no idea how he is still in the squad. I know Pardew has fallen out with HBA, but to start Obertan ahead of him is insane...
I too am concerned about our finishing; we are really struggling to score goals at the minute (and going back last season). We really need a new striker, someone proven in the EPL.
Whilst I do think Riviere and Perez have a lot of potential, we can't really afford the 10 games it'll require them to find their feet.
I'm interested to see what effect the new midfield will have on Cisse (when he eventually comes back), with Colback and Cabella feed him, he might rediscover his form...
