Indeed great news about Jonas a good player and top bloke.

Great ball in by Cabella for Colo's goal. Just hope we keep a clean sheet.

Does anyone know where we are in the league? wink

I've looked right through the bottom half, but can't see us...

Great result.
Cracking goal and Janmaat played very well.
They all did.

Just seen the Baggies banner for Jonas, a touch of class.

Kudos to Pardew for turning it round. I doubted that he would be able to stop the slide, but it looks like his option of looking further into the squad has worked.

Saints fan here. What has been the difference from when you came to St Mary's and did not play well to today? Belief? Different system?

Anyone still calling for Pardew to leave or has that settled now and people are spending their energy supporting the team?

Janmaat had both assists.......classy out swinging cross reminiscent of Ginola and Gillespie!

Sorry, didn't mean to be pedantic, I just wanted to highlight how good Janmaat was yesterday.

His assists and positional play was superb.

Cabella for that matter still has a lot to prove in my opinion...

I think its a number of things not least that winning breeds confidence! I do feel however that Pardew got lucky with his team selection at man city,it turned out to be a catalyst, I doubt he thought we would win and that the youngsters would put in such a great performance. Fortunately Pardew has been wise enough to continue to pick youngsters who are proving themselves good enough.
Nothing was expected of Ayoze Perez this season, he was one for the future, well not any more he's one for the present!
Who ever thought Paul Dummett would prove himself to be a competent centre half? He's not let us down and Haidara has stepped in Dummetts place at WBA at left back and done a job for us.
Then there is Mehdi Abeid who if Panathinaikos could have afforded the pocket change we were asking for him would have ended up in greece instead he's consolidating his position in midfield and got a call up to the Algerian national team, I think he's good enough to keep Tiote on the bench when he's fit.
All credit to the scouts for seeing young Aarons potential, discarded by Bristol, Wow what a find!
Lets not forget Sammy Ameobi who is finally starting to show he is a threat!

Hello wavey

My Father in law is visiting over the Christmas period and has expressed an interest in taking in a PL match. As we're based in N.Yorks and Newcastle only being 50mins away on the train it would make sense to consider Newcastle v Everton as the ideal match.

I've looked on viagogo.co.uk and the tickets would appear to be £36 ea.

As two (genuinely) neutral fans is St. James' Park a welcoming ground? Are there certain areas of the ground which are more passionate than others?

Other option is to visit Hull on the same day which I have to say is not quite so appealing!

I'm a newcastle fan from Wales and have been up to SJP several times. It's extremely welcoming and usually a very good atmosphere.

The gallowgate end is the famous end for the die hards but the whole ground benefits from great views (some would say the top tier is a bit too high maybe). I believe there is still a family stand which, you will probably find is the most relaxed place to be.

I've had a seat in the very top row of the Milburn stand (family area) for the last few games. You're high up, but the view's fine so don't be put off by that. Atmosphere great. Just bought the tickets from the NUFC website, never had a problem getting in.

I'd go for tickets in the east stand (D - £41) for an excellent view but you get a lot less atmosphere than in the gallowgate or leazes. The view is excellent though you are pretty much near the centre.

Certainly not hostile, but I wouldn't go cheering Everyone goals if in the home end. Tends to get the stewards twitchy
