I'm not sure how to react. We've spent 27.5 million on two players and there's still over a month of the transfer window open. If we take on a decent defender or two we might have a squad with a bit of depth. I hoping for more early signings so Mclaren has time to get to know his new players and let them start working together.

That second goal was tremendous! Obertans cross was superb. Excited to see Wjinaldum, looks a real good hardworking player, sure he will have it knocked out of him by the end of the season!

Defence shaky as usual, still think we need another defender in even just for greater competition for places. Quite a few options in midfield and up front now at least

We actually played football.
A million miles ahead of last years dross.

Left side is still an issue.
Left back is a must.
Would have played Aaron's instead of Obertan but what a terrific cross.

We lost our shape when Anita went off.
I thought he was playing very well.

Here we go... already beaten 2-0....... the next 2/3 matches will be the same... so we will be on 1 point at the end of Sept... lets hope there are worse teams so we are not rooted to the bottom of the table!

It's a long season but in the next six games we have Man Utd, Arsenal, Man City, and Chelsea. A tricky start to the season and one that could very well, if we don't get anything from Watford and West Ham, see us rooted to the bottom for quite a while. Pressures on after just two games!

Quite a good game, defended very well.
A few close calls near the end.
Cracking header my Mitrovic.

Rooney is a horrible. Foul mouthed yob.

Scholes is a ginger little whine.
Looked like he would throw himself off the thirwell viaduct.
Hope he does.

Indeed very happy with a defensive performance like that.

We're never going to be like Barca, so there are games where a point is a great result.

Even though we're at the foot of the table, things are looking up after that.

I'd be be happy if we got in a couple more, and got rid of a couple as well for that matter, but we should be OK with what we've got if that's the case.

We saw at the end of last season how much every point matters. If we can get 4 points from the next 5 games I think that'd be a good return (Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Watford and West Ham).

Thauvin had a decent debut didn't he?

Looking forward to seeing how he measures up against a better quality outfit this weekend.....

Shame as the guys tried hard however it's bad enough with eleven against Arsenal let alone with no striker.
So far Mitrovic has showed his ego is bigger than his talent.

Quite. Can't help, but feel another striker and defender wiould have made a difference come the end of the season.

One thing's for sure neither Man U or the Arse are going to be winning the title this year.
