Absolutely, we were fking awful and somehow conjured up 3 goals. We're st and nothing I saw today suggests we'll do anything other than go down. I think Newcastle will be OK.

Won 3-0, 6 in a row, but somehow I'm actually feeling despondent...

To add insult to injury the red card has been rescinded.

Thanks, thanks a lot, but so fking what? Your incompetence changed the game, clearly cost us points and had an impact on our goal difference.

All factors that could cost the club and its fans vastly come the end of the season.

I'm not sure what the answer is, clearly replays are out of the question, but what a bloody joke.

Surely if a red card is receded, the referee involved should then be banned for the next 3 games he was due to oversee. No pay for those 3 games either.

Referees are never wrong and any criticism of them is prohibited.

Football could do with a TMO, much like Rugby. At least it would separate the major decisions from crowd / player intimidation.

Games now are so close it only takes one bad decision by the ref to ruin a game, it happens so often now its ruining the game.

It's been like this for years, it's no different now apart from the fact that it can be broken down and played back, frame by frame, in HD. Referees, believe it or not, actually love football and most of them pursue it as they weren't able to play at the level they can officiate at. Absolutely sick of people moaning about refs, lets see you take charge for 90 mins and see what happens.

Absolutely - we accept that even the very top players in the world can't do everything right, all of the time, and make mistakes. Yet somehow Refs are expected to get every decision absolutely correct, every time. Never going to happen.

Totally agree that this has been going on forever but years ago the technology did not exist so they had no choice.
Now we have all this technology and they still will not use it.

Exactly, look at the RWC, they use the tech and reverse decisions without too much interruption of the game and as a result the game gets the result it should do.

Refs do have a very hard job, but there is tech available that can help and at the highest level not using it is frankly ludicrous. Also, the fact that ANY criticism is a hanging offence from the FA? Farcical.

It's not as if the governing bodies are paragons of virtue that are beyond reproach is it?

Well, a bit of a rub of the green for once.

Very harsh on Bournemouth that win, but we've been on the back of a few of those recently.

The manager isn't the problem. The entire club has gone rotten.

Yep, the current incumbent of the managers chair is far from the source of the problem.

Is there even any point of you sacking McLaren? Didn't he actually get money to spend this summer? You are in big trouble, Palace are a tough team, but that result wasn't surprising in the least. I don't understand how a club with the stature of Newcastle can get it so badly wrong, time after time. It's a shame.

I'm a Manchester City fan, but I have to say it's a tragedy what is going on up at your club, some of the best fans in the business deserve much better than this.

It's easy to say Ashley out, but he has put the club on a firm financial footing, they were in big money trouble before he arrived with players on stupid contracts.

Unfortunately some of his appointments have been strange to say the least.

M'cClaren won't do anything though, he's clueless.

I don't normally go straight for the manager, however I do believe that it was the wrong appt in the first place.. I mean he was the manager of Derby who are in the championship and were going backwards? look at them now?

I agree the manager isn't the main issue. Having said that, can we have Chris Hughton back?

Could never understand why he went.

He was doing a good job generally.
