a club with the stature of Newcastle
Get a grip sky boy NUFC had a good spell under Keegan for about 5/6 seasons 20 years ago. Put it in context in the history of a club that was a bit of a one off purple patch and they have reverted to type now. They spent a fortune on ste recently, Alan Carrs fatha hasnt picked a decent player for years. They are in deep st and the only way they will be saved, like my team, will be due to the crapness of others. No offence to genuine fans Iike Mr Ellroyray von said:

I'll help you out. You're a Sunderland fan.
A few years ago I was having a pint in Yates in Sunderland. I then ended up being stabbed twice in my arm with screwdrivers. I was just going to watch a match. But your tribal thinking brethren decided better. The context I put your club in, is a bunch of dole scrounging s that had the cheek to beat me up whilst they were wearing fake Stone Island and CP Company. Thanks to the way they stabbed me, I can now no longer move my arm the way I used to be able to. Luckily I was born in London, so I adapted my skill set and kept earning money to keep the world turning. We love supporting the rest of the UK in our little M25 bubble...
I'm sure they were just a "cheeky" bunch of lads though, Ray? The problem with you northern monkeys is that you don't understand how to keep yourselves calm.

Unfair to rubbish any football club and thousands of genuine supporters just because of the actions of a couple of dheads in a pub.
Completely out of order (Although I can understand you are very bitter)
Of course you're right. Although a bunch of Newcastle fans left me in hospital in 1979 and put me off football for a few years.Completely out of order (Although I can understand you are very bitter)
I'm not bitter though.
Okay, so the north east is full of psychotic nutcases.
Only it's not.
I must have been very lucky because I've spent hours and hours in Newcastle pubs and never once had to go to hospital. Just had the pleasure of bumping into the nicest, friendliest people on this earth.
What this has to do with Newcastle United and its current, terrible, predicament I know not.

Complete shower of st. We spent money on the summer, people were talking up our chances of getting a top half finish with a few key signings. The first couple of games we were ok but never got the rub of the green, and then we played awful and got a result. The last few games we have gone from poor to abysmal without any sight of a turnaround in fortunes. Carver really damaged things last year, but there was a difference at the beginning of this season. Its gone massively downhill since then. I really wanted McLaren to do well here but unfortunately I think he's coming up short. A good manager should be able to get results with this side. I hate to say it but think Pardew would have had more points.

Maybe that was a little bit strong last night, but I didn't like a Sunderland fan telling me that I'm not a proper football fan as, up until this season, I spent thousands every season following West Ham to every away game for about 8 seasons and that includes trips to st holes like Doncaster and Wigan... Apologies for cluttering the Newcastle thread. But Newcastle are bang in trouble this season, I cannot see a way out.

ok guys so what will happen? sack mclaren but carr and charnley are still in charge, the players look like they couldn't give a fk and have stopped trying, colo is awful and he won't be dropped.
I must admit I'm with Brabus on the mackem issue, every time I've been to the SOL its been full of stone island clones trying to get on the pitch

Agreed on Newcastle, they just look too shaky and inconsistent, I really don't think they will survive this season.Edited by BrabusMog on Sunday 29th November 09:23
Mind you I'm a Sunderland fan and my worst nightmare is that we both go down and Middlesbrough get promoted
