But the Mancs expectations are ridiculous. They expected (insert name here) to come in post Fergie and things to carry on per normal, them winning the Prem every year etc ... Totally in cloud cuckoo land.
Not true, none of us expected things to carry on exactly as they were. What we didn't expect was a manager who dispensed with an entire (successful) backroom staff & then another who binned off umpteen players & then spent 300M quid on a bunch of supposed great hopes - and then plays half of them out of position most of the time!

What was need(ed) was a manager who understood "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

United were broken though, Ferguson had the players he had playing at a standard way beyond their natural level, there was always going to be a correction without SAF around.

Chuffed to bits... But will 10'games be enough?
It could be, especially if they win against Villa, Norwich and Sunderland**

We are in the same boat, basically.

What will tonight's score be? I still think Leicester will Nick it.... But a draw would most definitely be a win...

I still think we'll lose but hopefully there will be an improved atmosphere and effort around the team.

Any kind of result would be fantastic and I've chucked a fiver on 0-0 at 11 to 1 just in case. smile

I expect a defeat (let's face it, our defense isn't up to it) but I want to see a better formation based on the team we are playing, more attacking and more heart. Hope the lads pressure them on the ball more and generally look up for the fight. Although I'm expecting better results than under McLaren, realistically, a draw is the best we can hope for tongight.

Best appointment you could have ever made.....

He will organise the mess that you are now in, I cant believe some of you would rather Moyes ahead of Benitez, crazy... forget about if he has been in relegation dog fight, he knows how to win games, organise defences and ultimately get results

Just a Heads Up, but every Prem team in the relegation zone who have changed their manager in March /April, have all been relegated..

Encouraging first half, very unfortunate to be behind, team look committed and organised.

Leicester really didn't create anything much and their goal was offside.

Gutted to see so much negativity already (on twitter and such), Rafa had three days to work with the players and we went away to the league leaders and completely shut them down save a debatable goal.

Finishing and chance creation is obviously still a problem but what can we expect after such a short space of time?

Once again this season we were denied an absolutely stonewall penalty.

This negativity is half the problem with nufc, need to create a positive vibe about the team even if we have some concerns because it filters through to the players on match days.

Whilst the performance was a fair match for Leicester, we show little to no attacking threat. We push forward then slow down for others to catch up, allowing defenders to get in place and thus making it difficult again. I hope we attack Sunderland with 2 up front as we need to get away from a lone striker who doesn't score goals supported by midfielders who haven't shown enough attacking purpose
