I am not a Newcastle fan. To me a big club is a club who win things or at least challenge to win things, play in Europe (most seasons), manage a top half finish at least every few seasons, have decent players in their prime (can attract decent players), big stadium.

The only box Sunderland tick is a decent sized stadium. They battle relegation nearly every single season and never challenge in any cup, never win anything, never have particularly exciting players, never play in Europe.
League cup final 2014 not much but it's not never either, Ironic that you have 92 in your name is that when you were born out of interest?

With Martinez getting the sack and rumours that Everton are wanting Raffa we shall see what happens.

Have to say, May has been the best month ever.

1. My daughter is born.
2. My small team on Teesside gets promoted to the EPL.
3. Them daft gets up the road get relegated.

And the sun is shining. I'm enjoying this month smile

I'm not one for online petitions but anything we can do to show Rafa how much the fans want him at SJP might just make the difference if he's in two minds at all.

Better quality here http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-new...
Geordie nation biggrinbiggrin Speak for the whole north east? I don't think so. I could understand it if this was some fans doing this but it's a bona fide newspaper. Anyone who is outside the area as it appears most are on here, have a look at some of Lee Ryders articles they are classics.

Speaking for the whole region, yeah right! As a Sunderland fan I'd be happy for him to stay for you, as much I'm enjoying this moment it is better when we both in the same league. I can't see a petition making sod all difference, most managers are just like all footballers and are mercenaries when it comes down to it. Money might make him stay, a petition will do nothing.

Setting all that aside, what is it online petitions and people's belief that they will change the world.

Come on, like your lot never took the piss when we we've been relegated? It's just banter, take it.

Like I say, I'm not one for online petitions, generally I think they're a total waste of time, in this case though I really feel it can't hurt and Rafa just may be attracted to stay at a club that really want him after spells at clubs where for whatever reason he really wasn't wanted by the fans (Chelsea, Madrid, inter).

Lee Ryder is a tit, I'm not from the area but I read everything written in the chron and shields gazette, his journalism is just nonsense.

RE. The banter. It's understandable as fans of a rival club. However, there are three of you just constantly on the Newcastle thread and it gets a bit old, personally I never post on the Sunderland thread as I have no interest in your club, why are you guys so active on here?

laugh they put the boot in just as much, I have been called all sorts this last few days - cheeky tts.

Apparently Rafa is in talks about "full autonomy" if he stays on. Let me tell you something, if Mike Ashley and his dingleberries fk that up and he walks away and your mob don't boycott the whole shoddy affair then it's a crime and you deserve to do a Leeds United.

Unfortunately it's a discussion forum so as far as I'm aware you are free to post where you want. I don't think anyone has been particularly abusive or gone out if the way to upset anyone. As to why I come on here as opposed to the Sunderland one the simple fact is I can't stand mackems

Earlier in the thread you called me a tt. I consider that abusive.
