I've got a bet with a mate. He says you lot will romp the league, and I say you have the worst manager in all 4 divisions and he'll be gone by Xmas. I'm off to a good start!

Some decent goals in there and judging by the Twitter commentary we absolutely battered them, brilliant stuff!

Looks like Newcastle are now finding their Championship feet after a slightly shaky start and, while it's always a hard-fought division, I'll be amazed if you don't occupy one of the top two spots come the end of the season (probably the top one).

We'll see. Long way to go. Even a stopped watch gets the time right twice a day. He's fking useless.

And he managed us. Saw first hand his ineptitude. I wouldn't leave him to feed my cat when I'm away, let alone manage a football team.

Inter Milan says it all, took over the CL winners and was well on course to relegate them.

This is the same bloke who led you to a glorious 0-0 at home to Villa last season. I mean ffs, we were crap and even we beat them 0-4 away a week or 2 before.

most non-Chelsea fans think Benitez's management period reflected much worse on Chelsea fans than on Benitez (who did exactly the job asked of him in difficult circumstances)

Did you see that match? We were awful. Completely hopeless and tactically clueless. Winning that match was a total fluke. A shocking performance.

Unbelievable, Newcastle fans berating others for making the manager's life miserable! Another irony metre ruined.

Who's stolen Gouffran and replaced him with someone who knows how to play football?

I do wish the last two results were the other way round mind.

Why? We have all season to make up for Saturday's loss, only get two chances at a cup. However unlikely it is for us to win one it would make a nice change to have a decent run.

Besides, I have a speculative tenner on us to win the league cup biggrin

Why? Because there is only one prize for us this season everything else matter not one jot.

A wee double would be nice though surely - win the league and EFL cup, not bad.

Although promotion would obviously be the preferred of the two, by hook or by crook if you don't get automatic (which you more than likely will I'd say).

Huddersfield Town always st themselves at Xmas - never fear laugh
