Was quite happy with the draw, and the performance was good enough to beat Hull over the 90 mins but then we couldn't finish and that's then created the lottery that we never win.
We might be doing well in the league, and I hope that we get back on it again this Fri night, but we do need to look at our striking options as we carry on. We need more players who can score goals.

I've never understood a penalty shootout referred to as a lottery. A lottery is 100% luck. A pen shootout is 100% a test of nerve and skill. It's the exact opposite of a lottery.

If pens are a lottery, me and 4 mates from the pub should be able to go head to head with the German national team and win 50% of shootouts.

Swap Germany for England and that percentage goes up to around 80%.

Yes, if penalty shootouts are a lottery, then it's pure bad luck that England have such an awful record, and nothing to do with the other team being better at it having practiced more and/or having better players.

Well this isn't going to plan. Darlow though, what a hero.

I don't think the referee likes us much.

It would be kind and probably effective to bring in Tiote now.

No idea what to say about that!
We need a match changing centre midfielder now.
Shelves out for 3 for this offence and possibly 5 more depending on what bunkum the FA come out with.

Feel sorry for Darlow.

What a shocking performance from the ref.

There's no excusing Shelvey, but the rest was abysmal.

It's a credit to the 9 who remained that Forest only managed two scrappy goals.

I wonder who will replace Shelvey. Maybe Gouffran will move inside with Hayden and Atsu and Ritchie will play wide.

You boys were robbed by a 12th man last night - he might as well have had a red shirt on. Garbage officiating.

I think possibly the most ridiculous decision of the night was the disallowed goal for Clarke, there was literally nothing wrong with it.

Even more laughable given he didn't give a penalty when Clark was literally thrown to the ground earlier on.

To add insult to injury, both reds have been rescinded.

Doesn't get the points back though does it?

I'm genuinely shocked by that, wonder if the ref will get another championship game this season.

It's a fking joke. Imagine if we were to lose out on promotion by a point? What about if Forest stay up by two points and your team went down?

I'm sorry, but the 'it all averages out over a season' bks doesn't wash with me. It bloody didn't last season did it? The mackems got a couple of results that sent us down and not them.

Officials have to get this right. If it's clearly altered the result replay it, there's too much bloody money at stake and people loose their bloody jobs over this stuff; and I don't mean players,I mean staff on normal wages with kids and mortgages.

Frankly, if he's that inept he shouldn't be anywhere near a professional game ever again.

I'm fuming.
