Not disputing how good a player Shelvey is however I thought just after he was sent off the game took another perspective and we were very much more direct and quick with our attack.

It's not great, but it is rather witty in an inbetweeners stylee.

What an absolute prat to get a 5 game ban for that.

Anyway Happy Xmas to one and all, even you Ray! Hope you all get all you could wish for.

Poor defeat that one, best team won on the day, thought we played without much real tempo or verve, too much turkey and vino for our players perhaps.

Don't think the referee helped either, he wasn't great, especially in the first half.

The long and short of it was they out worked us, and that shouldn't happen, especially at home.

Get in. That was needed and a reasonable response to the last game, and also to the away game against this shower.

Happy New Year!

Decent result. Feels like we need one or two signings to keep momentum to the end of the season.

2-3 decent signings very much needed.
Good result.
Poor performance by all accounts.

We seem to be stuttering a little bit.

Colback and Dummett despite being local lads etc.
Are bloody rubbish.

Bloody ginger Pirlo.

Not a bad game for all that, should have been home and hosed by half time.

So it looks like we can't play without Shelvey and God help us now we can't play Atsu and Diame, if we don't loose anymore we have a chance of going up champions but at the moment the stats a favouring Brighton.
They've only lost 2 and conceded 15 aganist our lost 7 and conceded 20, only Bournemouth have won the championship with more losses and that was only 8

If we loose Gayle to injury we are screwed.

Imho we need another striker, creative midfielder and a rock solid central defender and a good left back.

if we do go up I reckon we need to spend circa £75 million just to stay there!

One of those games, the more it went on the more you could tell how it was going to end
I am surprised how average we are without Shelvey, thought we would cope without him but obviously not.
Erm the ginger, I reckon he has joined under false pretences and is a sabotage ploy by our friendly neighbours.

let's face it, this isn't the first time he's put in a rash tackle that's led to a goal. he just isn't improving maybe league 1 is his level.
To my mind though the biggest disappointment is Perez; too easy for him to fall down!

Keep our fingers crossed he buys where is needed.
