Congratulations Newcastle, pleased because Rafa seems like a genuine chap, he didn't walk when you got relegated and neither was he sacked so all round, well done.

They'd never have sacked him in fairness, the damage was well and truly done by the time he took over - he had a limited time frame to keep 'em up, it didn't work, st happens (not his fault).

Had the season been 4/5 games longer they'd have survived and Palace would have gone down instead.

Fair dos. Rafa has found his level in The Championship, whereas I thought he was more a league 1 manager. But in the Prem, if you stick with Rafa, he will keep you up for 3 seasons......autumn, winter and spring.

As regards my bet, we both lost. You didn't romp the league, probably won't even win it.
