I'm happier than most to take the Mick out of the great unwashed, but let's not start trying to tar them all with that badge.

One evil sick twisted git is just that. No more no less. Here's hoping he gets all the consequences of his vile behaviour.

We don't want to be dragged down to their level after all. I, for one, have never punched a horse by way of example.
I don't think anyone was doing that?

The club itself deserves plenty of stick (not the fans), they must have known he was due to plead guilty and yet have continued to employ him.
How do you know the club must've known? He could've been spinning them any old ste right up until today.
Andymc you couldn't wait to break the news, were you trying to set a record for posting the same link on the most threads biggrin

Re-read what I wrote, I didn't say I knew, I was clearly speculating.

Do we really need to have a petty argument caused by that bloke?

There's another thread for petty arguments and I believe the Liverpool fans are into Volume 11 hehe

Yes, I speculated that the club must have known. It's really not that hard to understand.

yes

Someone called the Sunderland - Newcastle thing "two bald men fighting over a comb" earlier in this thread, a Newcastle fan.

As a Sunderland fan I'm inclined to agree laugh

that was me, surely the club must have had an idea, a 12 million quid asset in the dock and they never had their own legal team sniff about

Nobody on here knows the truth and likely never will, regarding what the club did or did not know. I'd put good money on that.

First Sunderland player to be sent down this season though, but probably not the last!

That's the spirit we want to see!

A good dose of lethargy, apathy and acceptance of your fate.

Excellent stuff.

It's the closer proximity to Teeside that'll be the issue.

Have you thought about a steel helmet to keep the acid rain off?

Sunderland have terminated his contract with immediate effect - http://www.safc.com/news/club-news/2016/february/c...

I hope they sue the idiot.

Whilst I wholeheartedly agree with everything that has been said, and I'm glad we've sacked him - just because it's legal in his country doesn't mean it's any more acceptable for one of your 'strikers' - double standards anyone?
