Botman out for 6 to 9 months with an ACL injury.

Perhaps time to shift Burn inside and set up with Targett, Hall or Tino on the left (the latter if Trippier returns).
I think a center back pairing of Schar and Burn could work well. Dan's more natural defending as a center back and has the arial prowess and work rate to do well. Where he's poor is when he's having to work the wing and he gets outpaced. His natural role should negate a lot of that. Tino would start every game for me. Maybe time to see what Hall has to offer.

Yeah, completely agree, if anything Burn moves back to his preferred position. I thought LH looked great when he came on against City, he just needs game time.

This injury might actually be good news. The season is written off anyway.
I don't necessarily agree, I still think the aim has to be European football.

Been saying exactly this for months. I like Dan a lot and back in the centra defence role is his real position.

The FCB is suing us as we’ve a deal with Adidas and they won’t sell shirts cheaply through his emporium of tat.

Hope he loses on a scale so large there isn’t really a term for it.

Odious fat rs hole.

Well as far as the season goes, I guess the push is still for Europe. It's not inconceivable but we are just inconsistent.

Botman hasn't been the same since he came back, you could see that something was missing so hopefully it'll get sorted but he's going to be gone for months. We need to look for at least 1 other CB in the window.

The ongoing whataboutery of the jealous.

Yet they’ll still use Uber, post on FB, play video games, use windows on their computer etc etc etc without a shadow of whinging about the ownership. Funny how it’s our fault alone isn’t it?

fk ‘em. Their sheer hypocrisy is vomit inducing.

We had no choice in who bought us- FCB did. You have a choice as to which goods/services you use. We don’t have a choice in the football club we follow- you know that. Hypocrisy writ large.

Tonali charged with further betting during last season.

FFS what the hell did he think? He’s clearly got a problem but bloody hell lad there’s roulette, cards, horses, all sorts of ways to lose your bloody money.

Aye righto
Must've been 110,000 made up signatures here https://www.change.org/p/boris-johnson-an-independ...
You lot actively campaigned for Saudis to take over, don't rewrite history.

As for Tonali he never wanted to sign for you anyway and he's doing his best not to have to play for you again.

That’s about determine if the process was fair- as has been shown abundantly it wasn’t. It’s not saying who we wanted to take over. You’re making an assumption on non correlated evidence i.e. making stuff up to support your less than impartial perspective.

Also got a crystal ball into Tonali’s mind state, have you?

Omnipotent Ray.

🚨⚪️⚫️ Tonali’s representatives (GR Sports) statement.

“It should be noted, in relation to the reports in the English and Italian press, that the ongoing investigation is a due act after Newcastle player Sandro Tonali, decided in October 2023 to self-report to the FA, as he had previously done with the FIGC, in order to clarify his position regarding the betting he had carried out at a time prior to the start of the proceedings in Italy”.

“We are therefore not talking about anything new but simply about recurring facts before the Italian disqualification, which the player voluntarily wanted to bring to light even to the English Federation to put a definitive end to a negative and very painful parenthesis of his life”.

“Sandro Tonali will continue to fully cooperate with the FA as he did with the FIGC and do everything possible to ensure that these proceedings can be resolved as quickly as possible”.

Thoughts on the statement…..

The FA will give him a ban, as they should, for offences carried out while playing in the Premier League.

He'll be like a new signing when he comes back in January 25.

Exactly how much did we blow on this scam?
And who checked him out and sanctioned the deal?

The money wasted on him could well have bought us someone who could actually play.
And in the couple of games he did start he looked lethargic, disinterested.
