Good call but thats a 'highlights only' match for me.

Sadly a Spud thwarted you right at the death hehe

ITV

Was it me or did anyone else notice the view of the match was 'lower' down than on Saturday? The viewer (ie You & Me) was almost horizontal with the pitch last night.

Maybe I'm wrong.

James – 4 – made two good saves, fumbled one and caused concern with another, distribution was poor
Barry – 4 – totally anonymous, gave away possession too much, gave away too many free kicks in English third
Terry – 5 – average, no more no less, made up for Barry and Cole
Ferdinand – 5 – did what was expected well
Cole – 3 – woeful, gave way possession too much, cant tackle
Johnson – 2 – as above but on a higher level of incompetence
Lampard – 3 – anonymous, didn’t appear to know where to stand
Gerrard – 7 – linked up well with Rooney, muscled around a bit, caused a few problems
Lennon – 3 – cant cross above head height, always tries to go round the outside of people thus is found out after twenty minutes, can not cut inside, woeful, has the touch of a leper
Crouch – 6 – good finish, tall and gangly but only a threat when th ball is played to his feetRooney – 8 – man of the match performance, everywhere in the first half, sat a bit too deep in the second half though

general thoughts, england played too quickly, we are not a team who can play quick football preferring to build up from the back, against a team that play faster counter attacking football we suffer. we play better against the top teams whose players frequent the premier league. i like capello a lot though, theyteam did the jo that was asked of them and i am grateful that not all of those players would be considered in a "Tournament XI"
