This is going to go down as the most 'average' England era since Greenwood.
Played 2 friendlies, won 2 friendlies. Let's see what the record is in 3 weeks time.
Wellbeck and Young look decidingly dodgy. Chamberlain is out of his depth. Walcott is going backwards. We have played against two teams who would hardly set any world alight and been completely outplayed, possession wise.
I would be amazed if we make progress beyond the group stage. All we can hope is that our (decent) defence hold out long enough and we can scrape through with 1-0s. France will hammer us.

Gerrrard... man of the match? Did I hear that right? Surely not. Tell me I heard that wrong.
And Beckham....took a look at Raul Merelies at Chelsea and said that's the look for me......the "sacked as a binman for looking too scruffy" look.

It doesn't really matter who our manager is the team is s t. I don't expect us to get out of the group stage and even if we had the best manager in the world I still wouldn't expect us to get out the groups. It isn't the managers fault that the players aren't good enough.

The p,ayers do seem to get through unharmed from shoddy performance, after noddy performance, and many seem to retain position despite having poor form, (not just some of these current crop, but over the last decade or so).

Well he seems to be stuck with these players due to injuries so I really hope the press get behind him and he gets some sort of support.

obob said: How are they so crap. Gerrard look world class when he plays for Liverpool, he looks like 3rd division in an England shirt.
Why is Milner on the wing? Why not put him in the middle, young out wide and Gerrard further forward. Gerrard's past it now, and he was playing in the middle in a two with Scotty f king Parker. Why is Milner on the wing? How about why is Milner in the f king team? Gerrard should definitely be played behind a striker and Young should be on the wing.
