Given that Theo has been tearing Adriano a new one most of the night, opportunity for Lennon.

It would have been if Adriano was still on tongue out

ITV could do them and us a favour by sending him and that wker Tyldesley to the glue factory.
Gary Neville had his detractors as a player, but he has really shown what a very good pundit person can do.
The Neviller talks a lot of sense, but he does have a voice for Deaf TV (and let's not forget that he subjected us to his money shot noises - :shudder: biggrin).

Really can't see what Milner adds to the squad bar being a squarish peg that sort of fits in a few round holes when needed?

I like Milner.
Not a show off player, just puts in a shift.

hehe

Great result, I think this is a very good England side. Welbeck isn't good enough nor is Milner (sp?) Wilshere and Gerrard seemed to work very well.

Whoever picks up Lampard, (and his wages), will be on a winner.

He's the Benjamin Button of football. Looks slimmer, fitter, and quicker now than ever. He's 35 in June and it's not as if he's missed years of playing thru injury. I bet he's played 50% more football than most other players of his age, especially being involved in CL, latter stages of FA cup etc nearly every season. And he's a box to box midfielder. The laws of physics say he should be on Incapacity Benefit by now !!!

I thought the midfield as a whole was awesome.

Great game by England. Brazil just didn't show up, Neymar was very disappointing, should have had a goal. Great finish by Lampard for our second goal. Also congrats to Ashley Cole for his 100th appearance.

First win over the mighty Brazilians in 23 years.

We're gonna win the world cup lads!!! bounce

Can someone tell me why, unlike most other national teams, we are completely unable to retain possession in the dying minutes of a game in order to dominate the close out and completely lock the other team out?

In the last 5 minutes of play, Brazil had 6 or so shots on goal and Joe Hart hoofed the ball up the field twice, only to give possession back to Brazil straight away.

Damn sure, if the shoe had been on the other foot, we wouldn't have seen any of the ball in the last 5 mins or so.

United or LA Galaxy would be my bet. Fergie's a big admirer & with small kids I can't see him going abroad TBH.
