I agree Ferg, if we are to progress as a competitive footballing nation we have to get get tough with the older ones & play our youth Was a bit of banter on this thread last night, but joking aside, I really like the look of this Cleverly lad he looks a good'en but there is something missing from his game & i just cannot put my finger on it , Ox was good & Rooney seemed to revel in the captains role. Our man Walker was on the whole poor i thought, but he's been playing non stop for over 14 months or so & i think he needs a wee break I know it's only San marino but you can only beat what's in front of you

We did a professional job against a relatively well organised, 11 man defence. As a Spud, i felt Walker had a poor game and he also crowded Lennon inside. At Spurs, there's usually more separation between the two. I suppose this was because Walker had no one to mark and so was completely free to push way up field, thus depriving Lennon of room.
