Will we be paying Colchester in Corrugated Iron?

Good result yesterday after a tough couple of results.

Good to get confidence going again. Nice of Derby to slip up for us also to let us back into 2nd. Maybe Bournemouth may like to do the same soon also?

A couple of good signings in Sears and Kenny (as cover for Bart) and hopefully Billy Sharp to be announced soon.

Great days.

Watching the highlights this morning I can't help thinking the keeper is a bit of a liability.

He looked a little shaken from that high deflection. A little hesitant.

However, he's stronger than Gerks in the air, commands his space more and generally is less hesitant.

First time i've seen Bart not look entirely comfortable, he's been a fair bit better than Gerks of late too.

He's an excellent keeper, just had a moment that's all.

Agree that Saturday was a good result but we didn't play that well. Off to the Amex on Wednesday so hoping the run continues!

I'll be there watching as well, and hope that your run doesn't continue!

Mind you, we picked up a couple of injuries (CMS & JFC) and a sending off (Dunk) on Saturday, so don't think we'll give you too much of a hard time.

Enjoy the Harvey's Ale!

It's been an uncharacteristically busy window for us! Bru has signed a new contract until 2018 with another year's option, Balint has left the club today, Marriot & Hewitt at Colchester for the rest of the season, Kenny & Sears in - I can hardly keep up!

No Didzy tomorrow or Hyam who's out for a month. Bish and Skuse back in though. I see that Brighton have just bought in Leon Best from Blackburn - he could be dangerous tomorrow...

In our hands to go 2 points clear tonight, lets hope we don't welch. Completely blindsided by Middlesborough's rise, must have been winning a lot since we did them over.

I thought that, was all excited about Leeds winning against Bournemouth then looked at the table this morning and saw we were in third! Fair play to them.

Best going to Brighton makes them very dangerous. We'll have to be at our best to win tonight. I'll take a point!

Really really really want to win this one.

Would love to go clear at the top. Looks like Bournemouth are starting to wobble lately.

At least our wobble is the same time as Bournemouth's!

Can't comment on last night as I wasn't there. But I'd have taken two away draws, so a win is a point better off than that.

Long way to go, been saying it all season, but it's true.

Yeah. Wobbled under the pressure I think. But then, Brighton were on fire. 2 absolute wonder goals. Tiexera or whatever his name is tore us apart. We were below par also.

Oh well. The season is still a huge success so far, 1 point off the top. It just goes to show how expectation have changed.

This time 2 years ago I just wanted survival. Even 1 year ago our position was unthinkable.

No need to be too down about it.

I thought we were very poor on Wednesday night and the scoreline flattered us greatly. Brighton pressed really well and really high up the pitch. Anderson and Mings had a game to forget and it was depressing how much we relied on long balls. I've been taking stick all season for "Mick's long ball tactics" and I had to concede that Wednesday's performance (bar our two goals) was just that. All in all 5 well taken goals in the game, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned now that the other teams in the top 6 are getting their act together. Still, even if Derby win in midweek and we drop to fourth, they'll only be one point separating the top 4. It's still up for grabs!!

Gah. Mid season wobble well and truly underway.

I'm off to Rotherham on Saturday to see if I can sort it out hehe

Need to stop the gap to Bournemouth growing any larger.

Wobbling away and still 3 points off top.

Enjoy the game!

Oh dear. That was shocking.

First half we looked as though we couldn't be bothered. Second half we dominated once Teddy and Freddie came on but then we didn't really look like scoring.

Murph missed an absolute sitter after 15 seconds. He looked tired today and not at all sharp.

Ando was a headless chicken. Mcgoldrick looked like he didn't give a st and ambled around like it was a Sunday stroll.

Let's not beat around the bush, Rotherham were st. Didn't look like scoring, ever. Both goals came from nothing.

Typical that sammon friggin well scored after doing nothing for us for months.

I think that's us out the running for an auto slot now, and if we carry on like this we'll not be in the playoffs.

God knows what has gone wrong or the last month.

Well, a much more pleasing performance tonight, even if we are still making hideous errors for opposition goals. We had loads of chances, hit the woodwork twice and were passing much more like earlier in the season. A lot to do now we're 5 points off top, but there were some good signs tonight. All about consistency for the last 16 games.

Skuse was superb wasn't he?

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I think that was a team performance, no one was poor.

Parr was good left mid, surprisingly!

Bru was different gravy.

And what about that fking freak Sheff' brought on! Just wiped everyone out who was near him, even his own players hehe

Good to read it was a reaction after the Rotherham game. Polar opposite performance it would seem. Seems like MM gave them a kick up the back side and it did them good. Probably bringing in a few fresh faces made the regulars realise that nobodies poison is safe.

2 lovely headers scored and it would seem Murph is back in the game. Saturday at Rotherham he seemed very distant and his head was down. Maybe he just needed some decent service?

We now need to go on a run after the recent wobble. Closed the gap to the top slightly and got ourselves back in the running.

Onto the next one!
