BFS(out) won`t change his modus operandi, so AFAIAC he can clear off. If that means the drop and another rebuild then so be it.
You mean rebuild like Nottingham Forrest or Leeds did? Seriously that could happen to us if we get relegated again.
Leeds are a product of several owners who have gutted the club after the initial mismanagement. Forest, I'm not so sure. You go to a lot of games, bad company, so I'm surprised you are so vocal in support of what is being served up. I don't go on many forums, but I can assure you that a lot of match day paying fans are beyond fed up of BFS.

Was refreshing to hear Andy Carroll on the radio this morning saying that we have now got enough points to stay up, I'm used to carefully prepared sound bites that mean the square root of fk all in interviews nowadays.

I could add Sheffield Wednesday and some others to the list. For me the danger of relegation is that we may never recover. With the move to the OS we have a real chance of generating the interest and money to become a bigger club. I just don't want to jeapordise that chance and if that means keeping SA for a while then so be it for me.

On another forum I have remarked that Hammers fans need to remove their rose-tinted glasses. If we're honest it's ages since we played "the West Ham way" whatever that is, but go back to the days of Brooking, Devonshire, Cottee & McAvennie and apart from the odd Paulo Di Canio special we've not played like that for 25-30 years. While I'm not a season ticket holder I do go to a few games at UP and of course watch all the televised matches and I'm willing to be critical when appropriate. The Hull game looked horrible but last night I thought there were some promising moments of passing play. I hope Allardyce finally gets the message and manages to introduce some ball players to the squad this summer. For those who want him out I'd say don't hold your breath because I reckon he will lead the team out for the first game at the Olympic Stadium chaps.

Fair point. Yes it could. On the other hand it could go the other way ~ new stadium, manager that players want to play for, supporters engaged, could be a fantastic new era. Sorry but I just can't see that happening with BFS(out) at the helm.

Your argument is extremely logical. Maybe I, and 30000 others, just get annoyed at the dross that we have been seeing week in, week out. I do understand the need for stability when we are about to move to a huge stadium, not sure I see the need to attract new fans, however. We are a local club.

I can see both points. However, when you pay up-front for a season, rather than cherry picking a few games, or seeing it on Sky (and I mean no offence to anyone with that comparision),this type of football it really does wear you down over 20 odd games. I've actually got to the point at the moment where I don't get excited even when we score. I don't want or need the "West Ham way", but I don't want to be bored bloody brainless with a complete lack of ambition, or only trying to win a game by "nicking"a goal,or percentage crosses hoping something happens when the ball drops. As for new fans? We desperately need them, playing football that encourages people to watch, rather than leave early, might be a start.

Really looking forward to seeing Liverpool play today, irrespective of the result.Maybe a high scoring 3-3?!
Last time I bet on football was 50 quid for a 3-2 win in the 2006 cup final...dancing around bounceat the golf club in front of the big screen with the betting slip stuck to my forehead as the clock struck 90 minutes........ I watched over two grand slip through my fingers due Scaloni's decision not to hoof into row Z and that bloke Gerrard.banghead
Six wins out of the last nine, and yet this forum has been quieter than I can ever remember it,is it general apathy to the football setting in?

Been away so missed the s'land game and haven't seen any of the highlights or goals - good win though. Having been relegated by them in the past hopefully we've played a further part in sending them down.

Just about to leave for todays game. Suspect if we conceed earlier we're fked. If we can keep it level for a decent period might be in with a shout but it'll be tough.

COYI!!

Think it was 0-0 last year, best result we'd had against them for years. Can't see a repeat of that though.

Just got back in. Entertaining first half; played some decent stuff. Couldn't give a fk whether AC fouled or not - we've had lots of decisions go against us this year.

Offered little in the secondhalf especially after Nolan went off; shouldv'e brought C Cole on sooner and gone 2 up front. Amero (sp?) Looked ok, first time I've seen him play.

Pleased that we didn't let them score in open play though.

Funny old game today, thought you defended pretty resolutely. Whats the view on Diame, was impressed with his touch today?
