I think that's gopping - looks like something from Pro Evo Soccer where they aren't allowed to use the real team names or badges (a là East London United).
This, very much this.

Hope this Valencia guy is worth it. We seem to have paid a lot of money for him - http://www.teamtalk.com/west-ham-united/9383394/Tr...

£15m isn't really a lot these days though, is it? Although I agree it is a lot for WH smile

Bit concerned over this one - lot of money for us to spend on someone who's had a few decent international games but isn't used to Euro football. Don't think it's a done deal yet though.

We did last time we played at PR - it'll be first time I've ever been there tonight.

Expecting a draw...

Draw it was. 0-0, typical early preseason game.

WH dominated first half, IT had the better chances and should have scored. Creswell hit the bar and Downing and Koyote (sp?) both had chances.

Side was changed for second half, became very disjointed. Last 15 mins WB looked good with Lleget standing out. Poyet and Leo Chambers also stood out for me.

IT not serving booze to away fans was annoying as well.

hehe

Quite a lot of grounds don't serve to away fans or, in the case of Man Utd fans, they don't even open the shutters before the match or at half time.

Last time I was in the away at OT they were selling plastic bottles of warm, expensive bud. I forced 2 down. Ashton scored w/ a header that day & we lost 4-1. I missed the goal as I was looking the other way for some reason banghead

Not sure what they were expecting last night though, it wasn't an ICF away day FFS.

In other news official club spokesman Jack Sullivan's tweeted that Enner Valencia has now signed for WH.

Any Ipswich players stand out? Nice to get a different perspective..

Regarding the Beer thing...we probably couldn't afford to pay the staff to put behind the bar.

hehe it was actually pretty well staffed. Overall attendance was just under 9k; WH was 1.9k - pretty good for pre-season game.

Your #9 in the first half looked quite sharp; finishing aside. You've also got ex Iron Frank Nouble - he was hopeless. In the second half there was a youngster on the wing who looked ok - I was reading about a decent Town player recently but forgot his name, might've been the same one.

You said Cresswell was decent - he stood out last night for me & very nearly scored.

On a separate note any thoughts on the proposed new badge?

I think it's a bit bland & would rather that "United" is the same size as "West Ham", "London" should be "East London" and maybe date that the Club was formed.
Evening Standard reporting that this is indeed the new badge.

I cannot contain my disappointment frown

United in a slightly larger font but personally I still don't get the need for London on the bottom.
