bks, that's a big loss & typically at a very busy time in the season. We've cover to a degree though w/ a strong midfield; presumably Amalfitano will come in. Also wonder if they will hold-off loaning out Morrison & Poyet to maintain depth of squad?
Today's Telegraph reporting RM is off to Cardiff on loan. They want an option to buy which hopefully we won't agree to.bad company said:

Song in the middle of the park already looks at home, I like the way we are set up and have enjoyed most of what I've seen so far. We should definitely be hanging on to Morrisson as cover now that Kouyate is out for 6 weeks who looks like a great buy.

Morrison tweeted that he's off to cardiff a couple of minutes ago. Presumably Poyet won't be loaned now though. BrabusMog said:

Song apparently was a bit of a difficult character at Arsenal but there's no doubt he has the ability....got 16 assists from a relatively deep midfield position in his last season. Even given the fact he was feeding RVP at his peak that's still bloody good. Cheib said:

The thing is there were probably a lot more personalities in the Arsenal dressing room for him to clash with when you consider the gulf in class between our respective squads. This is a complete pluck out of thin air but Song strikes me as the type of player who will be very happy to be a big fish in a small pond and he has already shown signs of increasing the level of some of our players just through his presence - Downing is playing out of his skin this season.bad company said:

I just hope it's a loan without a buy option. I still think RM could be very good for us.sjc said:
He's played something like 13 games in 2 1/2 years for us. Walcott was pretty much on his second World Cup at the same age, it ain't gonna happen with us or anyone else in the Premiership.
18 games according to Wiki but I take your point and tend to agree. It's a pity but he doesn't seem to have the application required. There is also a stark comparison to Joe Cole who made his debut age 17, played 126 games and was captain at the age of 21. sjc said:

Probably right. I am clutching at straws here but RM could be so good it's painful to see him not fulfil his potential.bad company said:

I still think RM could be very good for us.He's had time & been given an opportunity; if he doesn't want to fight for a place in the team & would rather play at a lower level somewhere else pretty much says it all IMO (& I've generally been pretty supportive of him).
Here's a surprise, Leyton Orient have thrown their toys out the pram, I can hardly believe it. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/russell-s...
