Chelsea are seriously good to be fair, not looking forward to when we have to play them on Sunday

Absolutely it's been all Chelsea but it's such a shame that a good team has to resort to diving so much. That last one from Ivanovich was embarrassing laugh

Chelsea fan here. Agreed. 6'2 and 14.5 stone, and he's felled by a brush from Carrol's arm. Just ridiculous. This is a bloke who looks like he could knock Jonah Lomu out of the way.

Not concerned about today's result, played a top team at the peak of their game. No disgrace in that, and some promising things in the second half .

Thought same, should have scored as well.

Arsenal and WBA games more important - presumably Song was carrying a knock hence not starting.

Made way to many mistakes in first half - ball retention and passing choices needed to be much better.

Couple of good saves from Adrian as well.

I don't think we would ever have been able to grind a result out of that game, Chelsea were light years ahead of us until 2-0 and then they just let us come on to them, if they needed to they could have continued like they did for the first 60 mins. Song took about 10/15 mins to get into the game which isn't ideal as a sub but he still played well once he got going, the way he turns with the ball is so good!

Another big one, hopefully get more out of the arse than we managed on Boxing Day.

No jenkinson due to his loan status which is a pity.

Assume AC and Sakho up front, Song in the centre.

Kouyate and Noble were both poor on Fri so assume one will be on the bench. Amalifitano looked ok so maybe will get a start.

West Ham are playing better even than their table placing suggests in my opinion. Been genuinely unlucky too.

Currently 11-4 ## best price for a home win against the Gunners. They will have my few quid riding on them at those odds. Might have them in a win double with the Magpies. Correction, I will have that double .. thumbup

EDIT TO ADD @ 14:48 :~

  1. Just got 3-1 with bet365

Boringly predictable home outcome against arse, bit of a spark after we'd scored but can't let them have a 2 goal lead.

Dunno why song's goal was ruled out, pen looked dodgy and defending for second goal was fking ste.

Gotta do better against west Bromwich otherwise we'll come out of Xmas with fk all.

Misguided or misjudged referee decisions spoil many games with distorted result. Several yesterday highlighted on MOTD.

It's happened to WH to often this season and there's no comeback on the wkers that make the wrong decisions.

So Tomkins is suspended today but other than that everybody is fit.

Anybody sticking their neck out to predict the score?

Goal! West Ham United 1, West Bromwich Albion 0. Diafra Sakho (West Ham United) header from very close range to the bottom right corner. Assisted by Aaron Cresswell with a cross...

It seems we have lost that ability to keep clean sheets and build on a lead. I'll still suggest we will win 2:1 biggrin

Strange today. Scored a great goal early, and then went horribly lethargic til the second half. Second half , generally more urgency and created a bit more. Nice to see Jarvis come on and start well, but after that cresswell was playing so far up the pitch he was forced inside and wasn't involved. The other stand out things were that although Song is absolute class ( and often a half pass ahead of everyone else) he had a strop 10 mins into the second half and looked like he'd stopped trying for 5 minutes , not good, especially as captain . The other thing was the complete lack of movement of Carroll in the box , 2 or 3 times a bit of anticipation could have resulted in a goal. For a man of his value, he can sometimes offer very little. The upside is that the Nolan haters can't blame him for the result.
The downside was I heard a few boos again, you couldn't make it up.
