Whole thing was flat from atmosphere in stadium to performance on the pitch.

Should have had Carroll off at HT got Valencia and Koyuate off for Nobes early in second half IMO.

TBF Sakho took his goal well and looked likely for a second. Thought Song was slower than usual, our passing was ste and pass-choice especially bad (looking at Reid for that in particular) and ball retention again poor.

More annoying is spuds spanking chelski to go above us and me about to go drinking with my spuds supporting best mate.

Back in late November/December Southampton had a poor run of 4 loses and a draw so just one point from 15 but a few wins and they are back in 4th. We can recover from this.

I would love a good cup run but not feeling it at the moment, although with the hammers nothing is ever certain.

Good record against them in Cups st in league.

Hopefully get something out of the game as games over Xmas were crap.

Lukaku always scores against us, hopefully AC will get a birthday goal though.

Either before or after the game would work for me, always assuming tickets can be obtained of course.
