Luckily hangover wore off at HT - first half was utter ste, like one of the worse games in the championship from time before last we were down there.
Presumably some arse kicking was doled out as different team came on, still not great and some very sloppy football but put 3 past a very poor hull side and should have had a couple more.
Good to keep a clean sheet. Hopefully Song will be as embarrassed as the crowd about winning MOTM again and give the champagne to James Collins, Cresswell or Valencia.

But however you look at it he was the heart of everything moving forwards from mid-field. Amalfitano has surely done enough to start the next game. This will mean Downing can move back to the centre and not kick his heels on the wing and Nobes is essential to cover behind Song. That means BFS will have to drop his lurve-child Nolan to the bench. Can't see it happening but the difference was palpable when Amalfie came on and Downing moved back to where he prefers to be instead of being displaced by Nolan. In the second half yes; he (song) was terrible in the first - slow to the ball and misplaced passes. Not singling him out though as all bar Collins, Valencia and Cresswell (in spells) were crap in first half.
Ala should probably have started as we had no pace in the first half, made an excellent second half sub though as hull were all over the place by then - maybe that was the plan...
Surprised that Nolan started, thought he was going to score though as he had a couple of decent chances.

Just got home from UP via a Chinese and a pub.
Interesting 90 minutes ~ the first half was about as bad as it gets, complete and utter, st in your hat and punch it, dross. No shape, no snap, no passing, no idea and no midfield whatsoever, Noble had the worst game I've ever seen from him and as for Nolan, well he was as useful as a handbrake on a canoe.
Second half, much better, not great, but better. Amalfitano must surely wonder what he has to do to get a start, when he came on he transformed things and scored a lovely goal.
Hull seemed decent at times but had no cutting edge and appeared to be scared to shoot at goal, which was fortunate as had we conceded in the first half the outcome would, I fear, have been very different.
An odd game, came away feeling strangely deflated, not how a 3-0 home win should feel at all. Maybe I'm expecting too much but that first half really was terrible, repeat that next up against Man Ure and gawd knows what the score would be.
Still, 3 points and safe from the drop. COYI.

Pretty much agree with what's been said about yesterdays game.
Song being MOM is simply because that's who the match sponsors wanted to meet after the game, nothing to do with his performance, which was completely missing until after we scored the first goal.
The first half was a bit of a worry, playing that formation with AC and Nolan, meand we simple can't chase, harangue and shut down high up the pitch which is what we were brilliant at with the Sakho/Valencia partnership earlier on in the season.Effectively playing 4-5-1(when the opposition have the ball at least)still means we get passed through or around due to the complete lack of pace in our middle, escpeically with no Kauyote and song being er.. off Song. When we try and break,we have 3 midfielders on top of each other, with nothing ahead of them. As bad as it was, the half-time booing was simply moronic.
Credit to BFS, he saw it wsn't working, took off a crowd favorite gave the players a rocket no doubt, changed the formation and we ran out worthy winners. Can't ask for much more than that, though it appears many in the ground do.

I didn't get to go as I was away, did people actually boo at the end of a game we won 3-0?!?!?!
On the plus side, I was surprised to find out there are lots of Hammers fans living in Sweden, expat and Swedish, when I had to go to a bar to watch the game as our satellite signal went kaput

Re the MOTM it's annoying though as it's happened too many times because some gimp wants a photo. Song being MOM is simply because that's who the match sponsors wanted to meet after the game, nothing to do with his performance, which was completely missing until after we scored the first goal.

Not that I was aware of - I left pretty much on the whistle & didn't hear any booing. Players were booed off at the end of the first; they'd been ste though.
