Nah... Adrian's got no complaints about that. He dived on the ball!

Think it's only 1 game ban.

Good point, well done lads.

No for a straight red it's off and a 3 match ban. He could appeal but probably best not.

Did anybody see LVG on MOTD ?

What the fk is wrong with him? Don't these foreigners understand banter / irony.

Just made himself look like a right cock!

Rod.

Is there not a difference though when it's for a non-violent offence? I've not seen the incident but sounds like the Club will appeal.

Assuming you mean the long ball stuff from the weekend that was very funny; walked straight into it, nicely played BS.

Shame to hear AC has got an injury again. Did it look bad?
Couple of weeks (which probably means 6 in AC terms). We could recall Zarate, although he doesn't seem to have made much progress at QPR.

Lack of signings, particularly defensive, in the window's going to hurt us. Suspect squad will be thin against WBA on Saturday; more annoying as they seem to have found some form.

Appeal going in based on him apparently being fouled just before the handball.

Depending on the outcome then we'll potentially only lose him for WBA game; if it's three he'll miss WBA, spuds (A) & Palace (H) - Jaskaleinen (sp!) is decent cover but all three will be tough games.

Who is the cover for Jääskeläinen (Google spelled that for me)?

Without a shadow of a doubt he was fouled before he grabbed the ball, I am 100% confident we will win the appeal.

Anybody know when the appeal will be heard? Just wondering when we can expect him back - assuming he wins the appeal that is.

There isn't one - would've been Stech (sp) but he left so presumably it'll be the Development Squad keeper (who's name I don't know) or worse case an emergency loan (assuming you can do that in the PL, we did with the former arsenal bloke a couple of years ago in the championship).

Just found this link - confirms that it's a single match ban that will expiry after 14 Feb - probably no point appealing if there's any risk of it being extended?

I disagree, it's clearly not a red card and we are a shoo-in to win the appeal, so if it can be heard tomorrow then I'd like Adrian back between the sticks for West Brom. He is the best goalkeeper we have had in a very long time.

Think Spiegel may still be hanging around, although they may well promote Sam Howes (or Tim Brown)up to the bench as cover for JJ.

Personaly I think it's totally appropriate to promote the youth team goalie to the bench.

But this is where it's interesting because even as a died in the wool Hammer I reckon it was handball because Adrian was already falling onto the ball when the Soton player touched him. I didn't see it as a foul because Adrian was already tangled all round the forward's legs.

Howes especially, at 17 is very very highly thought of.

I haven't seen it but bit concerned that appeals can backfire. I'll see if I can find a clip of the incident somewhere. Agree on Adrian though, quality keeper & bloke.
