Think Spiegel may still be hanging around, although they may well promote Sam Howes (or Tim Brown)up to the bench as cover for JJ.
Appears I was looking in the wrong place on the Club site as there are four 'keepers listed in the U18 squad but none in the Development squad. Strange.

Cheers - er.. seems an odd one; looks like a bit of a push from the S'hpton player that results in Adrian falling on the ball but as you said earlier there's a tangle of player & keeper prior, but would Adrian have touched the ball outside the area if it wasn't for the tangle as he appears to have put himself in a compromised position anyway.

Or something like that biggrin

I suppose grudgingly I have to admit that in todays climate of refereeing 99% of the time that would be given as a foul on the goalkeeper. That, despite the FA rules stating that "in case of doubt benefit must be given to the attacking team". Glad I've never been a ref, I just used top shout at them. biglaugh

What was the build-up to the incident - was it a shot that had rebounded/been parried?

The ball came to Adrian, he tried to skin Mané, ended up having to tackle him (which he did legitimately) then got in front of Mané who pushed him with both hands in the back and caused him to put his hands out to cushion his fall and he inadvertently grabbed the ball as he fell.

Yet I would say contact is 50/50 and Mané hardly touches Adrian who intentionally grabs the ball expecting to be awarded a free kick like goalkeepers do these days when they make a rickett. hehe

I was in a pub last night and clicked on my phone to get an update and saw this:

"Substitution West Ham, Jussi Jääskeläinen replaces Carlton Cole".

At that point I was unaware that Adrian had been sent off so I nearly pissed myself laughing.

What he giveth with one hand he taketh with the other... or some such bks.

Season was obviously going too well so needed the inevitable kick in the face.

Assume zarate will be recalled now and might be a chance for elliot lee as an impact sub.

Of what I saw of Zarate I would prefer to see Valencia and Sakho with Carlton Cole in reserve.

He's not great but adds options.

Even a broken clock tells the time right twice a day hehe

Gutting news about Carrol, both for him and the club. Not sure Zarate back is the answer, but I guess having options is necessary.

Looking forward to a trip to West Brom tomorrow, I do enjoy FA Cup days smile

I'd rather see Valencia & Sakho as the top two as well.

I'm taking my boy to see Real Madrid tomorrow but I'll be looking out for the WH score first! biggrin

Yep - it's only against Deportivo but the dates worked out well for half-term hols (game was originally on Sunday so had to rebook all the flights rolleyes)

Got tickets in Section 335, which appear to be one level up, behind the tunnel - if that's the case, I'll be very pleased biggrin
