Didn't go yesterday, was coming back from a rather emotionally charged youth tournament at FC Lokeren in Belgium. Thought there was a lot of TV cameras for such a tournament then founs out we'd arrived the day they lost Meertens after he collapsd and died on the pitch.
Very sad.

Just watched on MOTD. I thought the sending off was wrong yesterday and the TV pics confirmed it.
Although Burney's Dyche saying the referee's decision changed the game, it didn't. We scored the penalty and didn't score any more so 10 men or 11 men that was a 1:0 game. Burnley would never have scored anyway.

The European Cup Winners Cup guys took me back a bit on Saturday (the surviving players were presented at half time), I was 9 years old when that match was played and I remember beilng allowed to stay up to watch it on tv. A few days later I went by bus from our home in Leytonstone to see my nan & grandad who lived near the ground. I was surprised and delighted to get off the bus and see thousands of WH fans lining Green Street as the team brought the cup home. They opened the ground and I was thrilled to go in and see the team parade the trophy.

In those days a 9 year old could travel around London alone.

Anyway that was me, hook, line & sinker.

Does anybody know were I can get another programme from Saturday? It was a commererative version and I want to get one for a friend.

Presumably owners must be confident that someone can, or already is appointed; hardly surprising that BS has options though. Having said that I'll believe it when it actually happens, if it does.

Saturday's going to be a barrel of laughs rolleyes

I, for one, will ba a bit sad to see him leave. That said, please let it be Rafa over Moyes! No chance whatsoever of landing Klopp IMO.

It is a tricky appointment to make. Ideally, you'd want them to offer Allardyce a nice 3 year deal, keep us safe next season and then give him a nice big pay-off as a thank you before bringing in a bigger name that will get us playing attractive football on a weekly basis, in order to fill the OS. Or maybe they'll bring 'Arry back.

From the sound of it they've left it to late w/ BS though.

It would be fairly typical for us to let Sam go with no real idea who to bring in.

C'mon, surely you didn't expect a new appointment to be undertaken in a professional and timely manner behind closed doors wink

Was it ever so? No I think there will be the usual scramble and we could end up with another Avram Grant - or worse.

Frankly none of the names bandied about fill me with enthusiasm; Moyes, McClaren, Benitez...

Given the realistic choices I would stick with Sam IF he could be persuaded to stay.

Benitez, but I doubt that we have the sort of cash to spend that he'd want & (weekend pending) we're not in European competition. Although the potential & new stadium etc might appeal to him.

The others offer nothing over what BS already brings IMO, especially McLaren who can fk right off.

Definitely wouldn't want McLaren, can you imagine him speaking in a faux cockney accent in his unveiling press conference? No thanks!

So final home game, might be an odd atmosphere if BS is indeed off. Suspect neither side will be giving much of a fk but hopefully we can scrape something rolleyes

I spent my entire way to the airport fiddling with it yesterday, the beta 2 works best for mobile and iPad! I'll miss the match today but I am not really too bothered.
