Pub side? Miccoli who scored played for Juventus and was a superb goal from a great cross. West Ham were rubbish and didn't deserve to go through. They were completely outplayed tonight.

Clearly they were less rubbish than Birkirkara but then as a subscriber to Premier Sports TV you'd know that having watched the whole match. I only read the running commentary on the BBC and the club's web site and saw the Birk'ra goal and a couple of the pens.

62% possession vs 38% suggests they were not exactly outplayed.
9 corners vs 6
40 crosses vs 18
etc. etc.

yes I did see tbe whole match - I live in Malta, tbe local bar was showing the match. No need to subscribe to anything over here

Good, as I say the statistics suggest they out played Birk'ra but were ineffective in front of goal. Still onwards to Romania next. It's more fun than pre-season friendlies.

He could barely run last week and played for juve years ago. We were st. They are not a good side.

Not far off a reserve side,( and an unfit one)certainly none of Bilic's players in the starting line up, and we went through. Can't see what the big fuss is. Upsets happen.. this wasn't one.

Concerns me that he didn't change tactics last week when nothing was happening & appears to have done the same last night. Appreciate that it's an early game & we were missing a number of first team players however regardless of the time of the season we ought to be beating teams like Bika*.

*The above is of course written bearing in mind the time I've spent in the past sitting through many a lower league team drubbing / struggle in domestic cups .

Didn't manage to get to the game or see anything of it but I win a fiver off my dad as I knew it would go to pens

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about, it was the ressies that were playing and I'm sure they thought they just needed to turn up and they'd walk it, better it happens against that lot than better opposition that I presume this Romanian mob are.

And sjc hope we don't get turfed out for Fair Play violation!
