Jesus H Christ, what a shower of st. Disgusting way to treat people. The people at the top should hang their heads in shame, shocking dereliction of duty. Reading that has seriously pissed me off.
Wasn't very nice was it, i bet there is a lot of stories far worse than this too.

Really not sure why some top teams bother with the academy system, they never seem to give their youth a chance, I guess the parents are at the mercy of these big clubs because of the huge rewards if their boy makes it.

Football is no different to other big business, as much as it may be hard to swallow, sometimes you have to play the politics as well as the game. I'd like to know just how bad the new academy directors kid is as I feel that would have a massive baring on whether I believed this article or dismissed it as the ramblings of a bitter parent.

Whereabouts in the ground were you? I didn't hear too much, Boa Morte took a lot more unwarranted abuse IMO.

Good read, is you're boy still there SJ ?
My lad left january 2014, and got signed by Dagenham and Redbridge straight away, and got offered a new 2 year contract in March 2015 which was good news as he missed the whole of 2014/15 with injury). In fairness I have no qualms with the way West Ham treated him, (they didn't release him as such but gave him the option of D+R for match time as he's a keeper and WHU had two other goodies at the age group) so we were lucky to get out of the contract. Other than it's generally a brutal business mentally for the kids,I can't complain. However there were plenty of things that I saw and heard that were simply not on, so the tale above rings true in a lot of ways. I still have friends with kids there of varying ages, and I've sent them the link and all have tales to tell.Certainly where he's at now could teach WHU a few things about pastoral care.
As a footnote, Kenny Brown is the academy manager there and Keith Rowland is my sons squad manager for this season , both West Ham old boys.

It was pretty loud - I'm West Stand middle; oddly I didn't hear booing re Nolan & thought he got a reasonable reception.

There was a lot of booing otherwise & crowd turned very quickly. I left my seat the moment Jenks pulled back their players as it was obvious what would follow & I'd had enough so can' t comment on an booing at the end.

The drinks thing should've been announced at the start - "it's a hot day; we'll be stopping every 25 mins for drinks breaks on the pitch..." wouldn't have been hard to do & was taking place at other grounds. As it was I hope that the irony of pissed fat tossers in the stands booing blokes running about in 30+ heat needing a drink wasn't lost on the players.

Yes I heard booing but not directed at any individual as far as I could tell.

Can't understand why the drinks breaks were booed.

Likewise, but the breaks were unexpected - first time I've seen it at UP; as I said earlier it should've been clearly announced before KO IMO.

+ the Adebayor rumours won't go away - last thing we need is that tosser turning up.

Moses is ok from what I've seen, not a striker though is he?

Did you see that there's a deal agreed to sell Maiga to Middle East.

When I mentioned the Adebayor deal to a Spurs fan he offered to drive him to UP.

It would be a shame to lose Maiga but depends who replaces him.

Maybe he'll understand the offside rule better over there.. two instances in the second half on Saturday simply beggared belief.

Someone with a TVR can drive him round to UP, I'll make sure the AA are busy elsewhere.

Funny my TVR is in for its first serious repair since I bought it in 2002.

Have you ever had one?

Kevin Nolan officially gone:

http://www.whufc.com/News/Articles/2015/August/27-...

Inevitable after BS went but I think that he's was an excellent Captain for the Club & scored vital goals (31 in total) for a couple of seasons. Good luck to him.

Read somewhere that Valencia's subsequently retracted what he'd said... presumable "misquoted" rolleyes
