Shame I couldn't be there, love a good game under the floodlights.

Have to say, Payet looks absolute class - I'm not sure we will be able to hang on to him long term. He's very composed on the ball, both finishes required a very cool head. Moses looked a bit ragged towards the end, but it was a great debut. And to think we actually have a couple of decent attacking options that didn't even get on the pitch last night.
Payet's 28 though - so potentially not much "resale" there anyway.

Oh is he? In a way that's great, means we could get the best years out of him then. His composure is probably linked to his experience then.

The only downside to yesterday was Ogbonna limping off. Apparently he will be out for a couple of weeks.

Moving on we seem to have strength in depth now as demonstrated by the players we had on the bench yesterday.

So Randolph or Adrian in goal next week?

Seriously? Has Randolph done something to impress the supporters? People thought he was st prior to this little run...

I never saw him prior to his recent run but be fair he played well even against Bournemouth.

Yep, suspect that's also why we got him & there wasn't as much interest as might have been expected in him. He did look very, very good last night.

Adrian, no question.

Randolph's looked decent as cover & has made a couple of very good saves though.

Yep to me he's looked safe but during some of the friendies people were saying we needed another goalie as cover for Adrian.

I saw him a couple of times in pre-season but didn't see him play for Brum last year; he's looked ok since being in the team.

Does anybody know what happened to Newcastle's bus? Surely they didn't bus the team all the way down.

Enjoyed that, especially the belting first goal from Payet.

Lots of positives with pace & attacking play - thought Moses was excellent on his debut (but should've come off sooner as he looked totally knackered).

Defence still looking a little suspect & Toon probably ought to have scored in first half.

I was surprised to see AC on for a cameo, assumed he'd stay on the bench, would've been good to have seen Antonio towards the end of the second half to add more pace & pressing for a third goal.

Also good to see a little colour in the car park for a change

Do you know who's SV is that?

No & I forgot to look at the reg plate. Bloke next to me at the fence reckoned Alex Song, I was hoping that Tomas Repka had returned.

Bloke stood behind me reckoned he spotted Moses getting out of it at the training ground a few days before.

Repka in a SV and Dicks in a GT3 RS. What a sight!

Nothing will change. Other than the cat will be out of the bag and it will be known by all that you've nicked the stadium and that the government has given your club an unfair advantage that will last for a century.

Fair play to West Ham. You played a blinder.

It's already passed all European commission and UK Law scrutiny. This has nothing to do with taxpayers money and everything to with fking jealousy. They're may also be few surprised at exactly how much we give back in taxable profit, food concourse sales, restriction on naming rights and got knows what else, or if G+S sell up. The irony of all this being, that the taxpayer will no doubt pay for any further (and likely fruitless) investigating.
Of course no other club would have done the same, they would have all turned such a gift horse down...either way if they had taken it, I doubt our fans would have whinged and bleated so much about it if someone else had got it.
After all,us West Ham fans normally have enough to moan about as it is.
