I'm staying optimistic for one more week, so I'm saying 2-1. Sunderland could have grabbed a couple more against Everton in the end, I think our attack is good enough to exploit them.

So, a Lukaku hat trick and Carroll off injured it is biggrin

Let's get the negatives out the way ... Really poor goal to give away when we was looking good for a second of our own . Payet should have been taken off before he got caught in possession as he could barely move , and the two centre backs got caught too far apart and square.
Decent game without too many chances created for either side, for 20 minutes halfway through the second half both tarns completely lost their shape and it was end to end.
The one spoiler was the referee ... How the fk Everton only ended up with two yellows was beyond belief, he's only done two prem games before ... It showed.. fking terrible .
The assault on Payet was simply designed to take him out the game .... It succeeded.

Let's hope Payet is not seriously injured. We need him.

Him and moses and any of our attacking players, haven't seen that many cynical and nasty tackles for a long time. Cheating tossers. Ref was ste as well - his third game & it showed from the start.

Lanzini's goal was a beauty and generally thought we were decent first half. Noble looked really good throughout.

Thought Zarate should have started over AC again, but overall not too unhappy with the draw.

Shame about Valencia, hope he's not crocked for too long.

Just watching the extended highlights now. Everton are looking like a bunch of cloggers. Moses early chance could have given the game a different shape. Still, a draw isn't a bad result.

Would've been a good start if that one had gone in - about 3 mins in at that point. Tompka had a decent header just over in second half as well.

Payet out for 3 months.

Standard stuff.

FFS.

Hopefully Song back soon & Valencia not too bad; reckon we'll see something of Antonio now.

Be good to see FA take some retrospective against the who took him out, but suspect that's unlikely.

This... With knobs on.
It was an assault, not a tackle, a fking disgrace designed solely to get him off the pitch.

3 months?!? FFS!

Not sure if we should take it as a compliment that Everton had to revert back to being a bunch of cloggers?

Having seen it on MOTD I was surprised the Everton player wasn't sent off. Certainly I've seen players walk for less. Indeed wasn't Andy Carroll sent of for very little a few years back? It's the total lack of consistency that irritates.

I think it was the refs third game according to previous comments here. In which case I say it's annoying but he is still learning to a certain extent. Had it been Dean or Clattenburg however...

Farks Sake, Payet out until Feb???? WTF etc etc.

Big test of our squad now. Are we a (semi) one man band or not?

We'll know by Feb that's for sure.

COYI.

It's not the results I'm worried about, we have the strongest depth midfield I can remember .... It's the fact that I've been robbed for three months of seeing the most exciting player I've seen in a West Ham shirt in many many years .

That (AC) would be the nonsense with that cock from swansea.

I suppose the only tenuous upside, if there is one, is that maybe he'll be out of the limelight come the January transfer window. Grasping at straws? Very much so.

True, but can't see any reason for us to need to sell at the moment plus he's on a long deal.
