Ask Stan Collymore ... Who also didn't think it was a pen either.

fking Hell, just watching it in Sky match choice ...the ref was even worse than 35,000 of us thought.
The challenge on Cheik is much much worse than the pen( I even think jenks got a touch on the ball) and yet it wasn't even given as a foul let alone a yellow.
And the one on Antonio.....

Nah sjc, you're wrong, it was definitely a penalty. Jenks came in late like an idiot. Even if it wasn't a en it was a stupid challenge to make when we had an early lead..

What a great time to be a Hammers fan though. Long may this purple patch continue.

Agreed, watched it on TV - didn't think that I was going to be able to. Unnecessary challenge from Jenks - who's becoming a liability - clear pen.

Errors for both goals aside rolleyes thought that we looked excellent; Song & Noble excellent in midfield, Payet immense in the first half & strong defensively for most of the game.

Quite a start for Byram - playing for Leeds in the Champ, defending against Aguero & cities millions the next.

Shame about Kouyate's effort at the end though.

It may have been an unnecessary challenge, still think he got a toe on it, but I can see why it was given. Its bizarre how his game has fell apart this season, just a shell of a player.
Byram had a hell of a debut, astonishing really in the circumstances, but as with Oxford will have to accept that he will dips and wobbles over a season as young players do.
With the whole midfield on Song ( pun intended!) we kept the ball better than I can ever remember, the one time we lapsed with Reid hitting an aimless pass we were punished 10 seconds later, coupled with Cresswells reluctance yet again to clear with his right foot.
A great great game of football, still buzzing today even though we only drew!

Roumour going round that Ogbanna is going, thought?

West Ham United defender Angelo Ogbonna has been offered to Roma, according to reports.

According to a report on Sky Sports, West Ham United have offered Angelo Ogbonna to Roma. The Italian centre back has only been with the Hammers since the summer, and he has made a fairly impressive start to life at Upton Park. The former Juventus man has come straight into West Ham’s starting line up, but reports suggest that he still could make a swift exit. West Ham have little money to spend in January after they recruited a number of players in the summer, and he could be relinquished to make funds. Roma are known to be on the hunt for defensive additions, and a move for a defender with experience of playing in Serie A could be tempting.

Watched on Sky - great game. Jenks defo gave away a pen but thought we was the better team overall.

Whilst it did seem like 2 points dropped as Sergio's second was a bit lucky a point V City isn't a bad result.

Byram looked good and thought all the midfield played really well. Antonio shows what hard work is all about too.

As for Payet.........his free kick (excellent save Joe Hart).......his turns......his passing to Noble in the corner.......him constantly taking the pi**!!! What a player.

Appears Carl Jenkinson's out for the rest of the season - weekends injury more serious than first thought.

Pity, current form aside; good business picking up Byram though.

Ah ha, lively start from the Hammers. Good to hear the West Ham fans singing loud and clear at Anfield.

Disappointing lack of chances by WH, but 3 in a row unbeaten against L'pool is a record that I didn't expect.

Excellent work from Randolph, not much more to talk about.

Assume re-play in a couple of weeks.

Yeah, not much in it to be honest, BT about to debate the handball incident but not worth getting worked up about. Might try to get a ticket for the reply.

The second one was a clear pen IMO, our lack of chances created was poor.

Beer & curry now, UP for villa on Tues, hopefully see some goals then.
