Beat L'pool @ UP next week & we're away to Blackburn.
If Emenike can get some goals like he has done at previous club could be a decent signing. Looks quick and powerful.

Jack Sull Jnr says no more business......bound to pull something out!

With Jenks out does he go back to Arse which would free up some wages further?

I know nothing about him, suspect that he'll be on the bench tomorrow so might get a run out depending on how we're getting on. Word is that Jela will move onto to China (apparently the window doesn't apply).

Think Jenks has gone; not sure what the situation with his wages was though as he was on loan.

Selling Zarate freed up the dosh for Byram so I suspect that we're probably done now.

Games/Goal ration isn't to bad but obviously not in Prem league.

With Sakho and AC almost back and with this new striker, Jela looks like he could be on the move as I read it was a good offer for him from China.

Need a nice win tomorrow although I suspect a hard game!

Jenks loan contract ended by all three parties.
I actually like Jella, he was a real trier every second he was on the pitch, can't believe he's only 30 though !
Please don't fk it up tonight ..

Yeah, to dust off that old cliche, Jelavich always put a shift in. I think he got a bit older and lost that little bit of pace he used to sometimes rely on, as he quite often makes a terrible first touch and the defender is on him and away with the ball before Jela has reacted. Good luck to him though, he was hungry to get on and play and didn't just sit on the bench for his £££.

Real shame about Jenks, horrific injury that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

Have to say I watched him at UP for the Wolves game and he seemed to be the only one prepared to take a shot at goal. Prior to that we were very good at passing the ball from side to side but sometimes you have to take aim at the net to score. Which he did. laugh

Currently trying to get through to WHU for replay tickets....number 43 in the queue, wait time 24 minutes at 13 pence per minute. What a fking rip off,(to add insult to the injury of the additional booking fee as well). Obviously a grand a year on a season ticket isn't enough, as much as I'm a fan of G+S it's stupid things like this that leaves them open to abuse.

You won't see a better pass all season than Nobles for the first goal tonight, and the second was breakaway perfection.
Flat first half (especially the crowd) and believe it or not , some low key boos at half time WTF??
Came out with much more focus and movement second half , and even when we don't play well,it's just great to see us at least try and play it the way we love.

Oh I can believe it, there are some bone heads in the crowd at UP.

Didn't expect an easy game at all but the team was set-up wrong from the start, too defensive at home against the bottom team & Payet stuck out on the wing where he couldn't really influence anything & we didn't need three centre midfielders - although Noble & Song were both excellent.

Thought Villa had the better first 15 mins, elbow was unbelievably stupid & changed the game - shame SB didn't immediately re-arrange, stick Moses on & go for a proper spanking.

Didn't think that the result was ever in doubt but the first goal was a relief (even if Valencia looked offside from my seat); second was quality & made up for the one that Kouyate (I think) fluffed a couple of weeks ago in the same circumstances.

Did you see Valencia's reaction to being subbed - he looked proper pissed-off.

Amazing. Here we are in 6th place with an excellent chance of European football next season but we all focus on the total points required to stay up. That's what supporting WH does for you.
