A bit of a battle that one but 3 more points in the bag. I thought Antonio showed some nice skill not just for his goal. Payet was a little quiet but always reliable on the ball never seems to waste it. Lanzini made less impact. Overall we rode our luck a bit but with either side hitting the woodwork and Defoe missing a few it could have been 3:2 to either team. Anyway, sometimes you do have to be able to win ugly.

p.s. there didn't seem to be any reaction to Allardyce at the beginning, not that came across on TV and at half-time he was signing autographs for a few fans.

I got caught in traffic so walked in just as the teams came out so missed any reaction to BS - there were a couple of songs: 'are you watching allardyce...' but otherwise there didn't seem much reaction to him.

Not a great showing from either team I thought - shows what I know! Thought we deserved a point after making some good chances, fluffed 'em though so that's how it goes I guess.

In all honesty I thought Sunderland deserved a draw. If we play like that against Spurs we're screwed.

I doubt we will - early games often start slowly, that one didn't really improve though. Under lights etc different atmosphere. Suspect team will be quite different as well.

Bryam suspended tonight but Sakho is available. Not too confident given Spurs current form and our st performance on Saturday.
