Carol went flying in shoulder to shoulder. Like I said, bit of a soft penalty but to claim he dived is joke. You could then argue Huth being hung on for dear to by ur guy before hand was a clear pen, the 1stvyellow for vardy was the softest tackle out there in the opening stages (in which there were some heavy ones by both sides) and didn't even make contact in the initial challenge.
The dive? Ye pretty disappointing tbh, it wasn't a conventional *dive* as in going down without contact but he made the contact himself. Didn't really need to do, but usually just left for playboy go, but shouldn't have been on a yellow in the 1st place.
So much is made out a lot of the time about rough and tumble in the box. Please show me any premier league game with no hands, tugging etc during corners and free kicks it just doesn't happen, your penalty was as much of a dive as vardys, there was hardly any contact at all.
Overall I think ref had a poor game, struggled to control it and made poor decisions all over the place.

Okay, Reid was being held down and grappled many times and the ref should have given one but he gave the softest one ever, when somehow Winnie Reid's legs just buckled from under him when his arms were being wrestled with, strange that ...
I think maybe you should have scraped it in the end but when that big lummox Carroll is on the edge of his own box, hold your breath ... never a penalty, but don't barge the guy off the ball, shoulder or otherwise in the last minute in the box, simple!
Ref just evened it all up and ended a shocker of a day for him really ... they need to grip this wrestling in the box thing, giving penalties every time it happens ... why not? At 5-5 after 10mins, it'd soon stop ...

I can't really see much difference between Vardys "dive" and Carrolls "barge". Very similar incidents adjudged completely differently. Bizarre.
The cynical amongst us might say the ref lost the plot and did his best to ensure the match ended as a draw.
If ever there was a need for some sort of technology to assist refs, this was it.

Did anyone hear "Ben" on the sports bar on Talksport on Thursday (?) night?
He claimed there was a conspiracy against WH by referees to ensure we (Manchester City) weren't stopped from getting 4th place so Pep would come to the Premiership.
At the time I thought he'd , at best, been drinking. Now I think he may have not been so far wrong

Stop that by keeping the ball and preventing last minute attacks (easy to say that I appreciate )
When you see it you won't believe what Valencia does in the build up to their goal.As I said on Wednesday , he hasnt got a brain .Hopefully Sakho from the bench on Wed to take his place.

I really, really don't think they are clever enough to orchestrate such a conspiracy. I do however think they are astonishingly inconsistent and... susceptible to giving decisions to home teams especially when there's a baying crowd. Aside from today Chelsea's equalising penalty in the 89th min. at Stamford Bridge, today's at the King Power in the 94th min. and others for other teams. Did you hear the City fan the night before? He was going to take a picture of his fist and email it to the studio so Cundy could see what was coming for him? Nob

I think there is truth in that unfortunatelyThey say things even out over the season and for most teams they do. However it's been more negative for WH and Leicester have had more positive decisions because of the above.
