Well I didn't renew this season and after watching for the first time this season I'm bloody glad I didn't . Vaz te and cole just passengers, O Brien never seems to be able to stop crosses coming in, Noble constantly caught in possession. Yet again no real desire to get forward. The defending for the first goal was crap, with o'brien having 3 to look after when the free kick was taken, and how a group of professionals can concede a goal like the second is fking disgraceful. The only bright spark was kayoate who looks like a real find, Viera like in the way he plays.

Saints fan here. Obviously I'm pleased we won today, but I wondered how much of the win was Saints playing well and how much the Hammers playing badly?

Yep, it was fking ste. Worst for a few years and worse than the crap played under that grant a couple of years back.

fk knows what was wrong with noble, never seen him so wasteful (good goal though).

Kouyate looked good throughout and Morrison bright when he came on, the rest st.

Two weeks to sort themselves out before tricky game at Hull.

I assume the crowd were fairly hostile towards BFS at the end?

Not many left to make much of a fuss - cleared out after the third goal.

It was certainly the earliest I've ver left, I missed the third!
At half-time, I walked a couple of rows upt to whee my old season ticket was and spoke to the chap I sat next to. He reckons that there's at least a dozen in our little group that haven't renewed, some have had the same seat for 30 years....

Given we've been up and down several times during that period that's actually rather sad.

p.s. watching MOTD (don't know why) and BFS bleating on about the corner from which the scored being a goal kick and ignoring the fact that Soton had 18 attempts to our 4, 8 on target to our 2, 9 corners to our 2 and 64% possession and that's at Upton Park! Rapidly losing any credibility in my view.

With all due respect to West Ham, hes a lot better then the level he'll be playing at. He's a Champions League player, was our second best player to RVP before he left for Barca. He should do well for you chaps.

Haven't seen the game but the stats tend to indicate we were ste. Another season of same old same old seems nailed on.

CFC first choice striker? WTF.

Chunter, chunter, chunter.

He should've connected with the one good cross put into him in the second half but otherwise had no service; his movement was crap though as usual.

Odd though as same team looked quality last week.

He simply didn;t take a chance by commiting to the run 'til after the cross was delivered, he's always reactive rather than proactive.... and of course there was teh usual first touches off the shin and the two clearances into the upper Alpari....
