And we scored 0, seems like normal EPL service has well and truly resumed. Kouyate/Terry clash looked rough.

Finishing was st, scoring's not been a problem so far but have really struggled in last couple of games.

Thought BS should have made changes sooner (again) as well - before will.i.am came on would've been time to do it.

Good news that reid's re-signed announced this am, pity that the seasons finished though.

Lets hope it's not finished in their heads. If we can regain 8th by the end of the season, that's great progress again, one season before the OS.
From the 45 minutes I actually saw, thought Nolan may have hopefully won some fans back last night

Excellent news http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/31744884

Reid is the third first-team regular to sign a new contract in the last month, following James Tomkins and Mark Noble.

He should've been MOTM - easily our best player on the night & broke up a couple of chelski attacks.

Collins had an excellent game marketing costa after he'd come on in the first 5 mins for Reid; reminded my of him playing against the grinning biter last year.

Ref & linesmen had a shocker throughout as well, very poor decisions (not only giving the goal) throughout the game.

Agree about hopefully finishing best of the rest - be a shame to finish tenth.

Four London derbies in a row's taking the piss as well.

Makes him second highest paid at the Club behind Carroll apparently. Pleased he's signed though; would've pissed me off to see him at spuds.

Coincidentally I remember reading an interview w/ him & he mentioned that he met his future wife in Shenfield Costa (she was working there).

I meet a couple of my cousins there once a month if possible, the place is obviously steeped in history! Well, if it's the one by the train station anyway.

Yep, just up the road on the corner. I tend to stumble out of the station & into what was (Pat) Holland's bar though when in Shenfield.

West Ham Farcebook feed :

Alex Song joined the West Ham United Development Squad in training on Tuesday.
.... remained behind while the first team were in Dubai to work on fitness, having missed pre-season training.

Doesn't go on a first team jaunt to Dubai in March because he missed pre-season training 8 months ago.

Yeah right.

I think it was more he stayed behind to plough through lost property to find a matching pair of boots....
Alternatively it could be to have a word with the laundry man who keeps shrinking his shorts.

The laundry man isn't shrinking his shorts enough, he has to constantly roll them up during dead ball situations hehe

We wolf whistle at him from time to time when he does it now smile

Perhaps he finds the modern length Bermuda style shorts stupidly long. But I guess it makes more space for manufacturer's logos hehe

Missed anything about the game as travelling back from skiing; sounded like out usual pathetic capitulation away to arse though.

Form's utter dogst.

Haven't seen it thankfully as I'm away as well. Down to 10th now, which I would have gladly taken at the start of the season but it feels very disappointing at the moment.

I've kind of been so disappointed this last month that I've not looked at the fixtures but I'm told we've got an easier run in having just played ManU, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal etc. In all honesty it was Manu equalising with 5 mins to go and then Spurs getting that penalty in the 94th min that was the real choker. Chelsea and Arsenal winning is kind of expected. I do hope we can move up a bit between now and the end of the season because it was good news when Reid, Tomka and Noble all signed contracts. Now Alfietano has signed too, maybe Song will. I'm sure it's just been a really bad month with 4 difficult games.

For me it looks like we are playing reasonbly well, creating chances but not scoring enough goals. I'm getting fed up with it all tho. Hopefully we will see some improvement now.

Results went our way, still no reason why we can't finish 8th, which will be another steady improvement.
What we have lacked for a long long time though is a clinical finisher.I can only think of Morgan and AC doing a dink over the spreading keeper type finish this season, most if not all the wasted chances have been because they've generally come to players who try the standard side foot or blast, whether through lack of abilty or through lack of confidence.
We're never gonna have a Rooney/Costa/Giroud/Aguero/Sturridge class of striker, and hence we're always going to struggle to turn draws into wins.
