Managerial merry go round continues, whilst poyet has been struggling badly and the performances have been shocking something really needs to be done about those upstairs.
Short, Byrne and Congerton need to go for me aswell and a massive clear out of the overpaid useless fkers on the pitch.
Vergini, brown, bridcutt, Gomez, Alvarez, Buckley, Graham, Fletcher all need to be shot of Asap. All championship players at best which next season they might be useful but I'd rather give the youth a chance than them.

All hail the Sack-the-Manager Premiership! Good Luck Gus. Overpaid... and then some. It has for sometime become completely out of control. Even the more wealthy clubs trying to buy results and paying way over the odds in failed attempts to do so. Even the very wealthy "top" clubs are guilty. The "market" has become poisonous for many less wealthy clubs.
At many clubs that is needed too. Any player being taken on by any club should have a contract drawn up in such a way that if they fail to meet certain criteria or targets, on their way without compensation. That's how I was employed and rightly so.
Agents stitch it up tightly of course and that is becoming ruinous for some clubs over paying many players who were over priced in the first place and now and never were ever worth the money paid.
Continuing under achievement by Premiership Clubs struggling and failing against foreign opposition helps get it into rather more accurate focus.
The biggest joke is Steven fletcher who hasn't done a thing for about 18 month is swanning about like king dick in a brand new Lamborghini aventador.
I wanted it to work for gus but players have far to much power these days and the performances have just been dreadful since Boxing Day.

That is genuinely funny and not without some serious merit.Despite my London Team preferences, having worked in the region, always had a soft spot for teams from the Nor East of the country. Thin and sparse days of Joy lately though and the harsh North wind doesn't help either. Brrrrrh.

I suspect there are some very highly paid players at that club that will not go quietly and Sunderland will struggle to shift. Its a shame as I like Sunderland but seems several years of mis-management with constant changes means a high turnover of playing staff and therefore Poyet has been left with a core of useless championship players.
As sad as it is maybe relegation might be good for the club, and force Sunderland to clear out the rubbish and take a new approach to player recruitment and change the structure within the club for the better?

Not unique to Sunderland. Several clubs, maybe more than we are allowed to know, are facing these problems and the answers of necessity will be harsh.Meantime, let me be the first to get this in:~
ADVOCAT MUST GO.
Saves doing it later.
Johnsons bail extended till April 23rd. Talks of the club bringing him back to play and me personally would agree if he is in the right frame of mind.
Obviously he will get a lot of stick off fans especially in the next home game but I'm guessing the police have nothing on him if they have extended it.

I don't know whether he did it or whether he did not do it but the police extending bail means absolutely nothing. If they had nothing on him they would drop the case not extend his bail. The fact that they haven't dropped the case is probably more telling.Obviously he will get a lot of stick off fans especially in the next home game but I'm guessing the police have nothing on him if they have extended it.

I didn't do anything It could go either way I suppose but imo if the club are thinking of bringing him back I don't think they would risk it if they thought he was going to be found guilty. I guess if they don't bring him back then that is very telling as I'm guessing they will be updated regularly of the situation.

I think it is really best not to guess or make anything of this situation.

Not really, some people have been kept on police bail for well over 12 months (in some cases up to 3 years) and then seen their cases dropped. Don't hang him until he's been convicted in a court of law.Bluebarge said:

Fairly happy with Advocaat. Has loads of experience and should at least be able to tell Short what is wrong with the club (because something/alot is wrong).
Something tells me he will do very very well (a derby win gives double points!) and will stay on.
I know nothing of his assistants.
